  1. It's not rust- strategic weight reduction to aid in performance.

I'd rather have a driver than a perfect restoration that never gets driven for fear of damaging it.

  2. shockingly good looking. I had a baby-shit-brown 79 Corolla in high school. It made some clanking sounds and then stopped running. Turns out, you need oil in an engine for it to function for more than a few minutes. Who knew?!? Kinda wish I still had it. Wasn't terribly rusty, and believe it or don't, a 79 Corolla is pretty hot.

  3. Man this is awesome I bet u got all the women in high school bet you were popular right job im on the hunt for a 1969 f100 to make a project out of my dream car Whats your dream car ?

  4. Those Buick/Olds/Pontiac 455s must be notorius for that, My 1970 442, with a salvaged Vista Cruiser 455 ate my TH400 back in the day. I was kind of upset, but glad, so I could rebuild it and make it a tire shredder! Basically Heavy Duty everything, RV shift kit fine tuned by my 'local sprint car builder' buddy, a TH350 torque converter, and it would go sideways when I mashed the YeeHaa pedal! Still, I managed to blow that Trans racing a warmed up 1987 Turbo GNX. He beat me 1st from a rolling start, then I stole his lunch money from a dead stop, which I needed to buy another transmission aftewards. I cry myself to sleep at nights now knowing to get another 1970 442 I need Scrooge McDuck monies.

  5. more proof that things don't have to be perfect to still look good enough and be enjoyable. If it was perfect it would be criminal to drive it!
