My Brother’s 1964 Plymouth Fury Is A Ratty, Smoky, Grimy Daily Driver (With Hidden Surprises Inside)

Crappy, disgusting paint that looks like it was last washed during the Clinton administration? Check. Missing part of the floor and various bits of metal elsewhere? Yep. Manual transmission and various handling upgrades? Oh yeah. That settles it, it’s a Colin car. At least he’s consistent, you know? There’s something to be said for that. Anyway, this ’64 Fury has lived several lives – first as a normal factory car from ’64 to ’70, then as a 340 powered street racer in the 70s and 80s, as a garage ornament for many years, and now as a zombie street machine with a random V8 and a four speed. It’s a car that looks like it belongs in a junkyard (because it probably does,) but there is a bit more to it than immediately meets the eye.

  1. Here in the UK cars this old are MOT ( Inspection / whatever ) exempt , just as well as this would fail ——— on everything , i think just calling it incontinent would be a better way of saying it leaks everything everywhere , top motoring ,

  2. That narrator sure sounds familiar. Maybe like the guy from a youtube channel that goes around to explore some of the worst cities in America ? He has a unique delivery that's easy to remember (even for a 60yo,lol).

  3. Seems safe enough. I can smell the "old car" smell from here. Also, at least he's driving it versus "I'm going to restore it one day" mentality where it just sits in the garage collecting mice nests and black widows.

  4. It's more than I have I've had mopars for years now can't afford one I'd love to have that my luck is dragging one out a feild and trying to find motor and everything to get it running again.and that 64 is something you don't see to often you can name your price mopars are pricey especially a running one

  5. The beauty of classic cars as daily

Classic Car: Can buy one not too pretty or too rough to drive (depending what it is) for $5k or less

Brand new car: $30k for a base model, enjoy

Classic car: Can have as much power or torque as you want depending on the amount of elbow grease you use

Brand new car: Enjoy your 1.5L with 150hp and -3 torque

Classic car: Will always work as it should if you maintain it

Brand new car: Will always be a piece of shit from the factory. Enjoy your monthly recall or software update and thousands of dollars in repairs after the warranty runs out before the payments do.
