Motorcycle Engine EXPLODES in the Field of Dreams!



A motorcycle drag racing engine explodes and suffers catastrophic damage as the connecting on a Suzuki GS drag bike punched a hole in the cases during it’s first trip out at a track located where they shot the movie “Field of Dreams,” the cornfields of Oskaloosa, Iowa at Eddyville Raceway Park.   1. On the crank. Hard to say. Unless the crank was total disassemble and rebuild from builder like Pearson FBG or GRC you can't tell how well the rod and bearing are. If it's a big big motor and spray they need to be pinned to prevent twist even after weld. Only crank I ever broke was wrist pin failure after 3 years

  2. Non structural areas of engine cases are quite easy to repair. Pre-heat and post-heat are a must. I do this all the time.
