Motorama 2026 Toronto Motorsports Park Booth $100K Reveal

MOTORAMA 2026 RECAP – WHAT A WEEKEND

Toronto Motorsports Park wraps up an incredible weekend at Motorama 2026 the massive motorsports trade show in the Greater Toronto Area. From the historic $100,000 Canadian ProMod Series announcement to countless conversations with racers and fans, the energy for the 2026 race season is absolutely unreal.

THE BIG PROMOD ANNOUNCEMENT

The highlight of our Motorama weekend was the groundbreaking announcement that had the entire drag racing community buzzing. Ian Hill Racing Productions revealed the 2026 Canadian ProMod Drag Racing Series bringing a massive $100,000 total purse to Ontario drag racing across five championship events at Toronto Motorsports Park and Grand Bend Motorplex.

Five races with $20,000 purses per event. Eight car qualified fields paying down to 12th qualifier. Pro Modified doorslammers running low five second elapsed times at speeds exceeding 250 miles per hour. This is the biggest commitment to Canadian doorslammer drag racing in history and the series racers have demanded for years.

Ian Hill flanked by Mike Vani from TMP and Greg Corey Herman General Manager of Grand Bend Motorplex made the announcement at our booth in front of packed crowds. The excitement was immediate. Racers fired up. Fans already counting down days until race season. The partnership between IHRP, TMP, and Grand Bend represents the future of Canadian Pro Modified racing.

TMP BOOTH EXPERIENCE

Our Toronto Motorsports Park booth at Motorama served as the hub for Canadian drag racing all weekend. Familiar faces stopped by sharing their excitement for the upcoming season. New fans discovered what makes TMP Canada’s premier drag racing facility. The conversations ranged from the ProMod series to our complete 2026 event calendar to memories from past seasons at the track.

Racers are ready. They see the investment TMP and our partners are making in championship racing. The commitment to guaranteed purses, professional organization, and racer friendly scheduling resonates with competitors who want stable series they can build programs around. The ProMod announcement exemplifies this approach with substantial prize money and clear championship structure.

Fans are ready. The energy at the booth confirmed what we already knew – Canadian drag racing fans are hungry for high level doorslammer competition. Pro Modified racing delivers the spectacle fans crave with familiar body styles, massive horsepower, and professional level competition. The response to the $100,000 series validates years of planning and partnership development.

MOTORAMA ATMOSPHERE

Motorama 2026 brought the entire Canadian motorsports community together under one roof. Custom cars, race cars, vintage vehicles, performance parts vendors, racing series displays, and thousands of passionate enthusiasts filled the show floor. Our TMP booth positioned in the racing zone placed us alongside other premier facilities and series creating the perfect environment for the ProMod announcement.

The show provides unique opportunity to connect with our community face to face. Social media and online presence matter but nothing replaces in person conversations. Hearing directly from racers about what they want from their home track. Listening to fans describe their favorite TMP memories. Meeting families planning their first visit to Cayuga. These interactions inform how we operate Toronto Motorsports Park and shape our event programming.

THE 2026 SEASON AHEAD

The Motorama weekend served as the perfect season kickoff. The ProMod announcement sets the tone for what promises to be the biggest year in TMP history. Our 2026 calendar stacks championship racing across multiple disciplines with something for every motorsports fan.

The thundering 11,000 horsepower nitromethane burning machines remain the premier attraction in drag racing. Now the Nitro Nationals also hosts Canadian ProMod Series championship racing adding another layer of doorslammer competition to our marquee event.

NHRA Labour Day Nationals closes the season with regional NHRA competition including another ProMod championship round. The traditional end of summer weekend brings racers and fans together for one final major event before winter.
