In this episode of Motive Garage, presented by Sparesbox, we finally hit the track with the UniClutch A90 manual Supra and Motive Videos own Nissan 400z, both equipped with UniClutch upgrade clutch kits, the 400z has a UniClutch Sport and the Supra has a UniClutch Track.
The ultimate grudge match Supra VS 400Z , Toyota VS Nissan.
To make this comparison fair Andrew from Motive decided to compare the Supra with and Z in a modified state bringing the overall values of each car to a comparative level. The Supra had a higher MSRP price, but the Z had more performance modifications, which brought the pricing difference down quite considerably.
Comparison criteria
Exterior Looks : Draw
Interior = Draw
Power to rate ratio = Stock VS modified = Draw
Driveability = Draw
As a lot of the comparison criteria were very subjective, Andrew thought the best way to settle the debate would be to settle it with a stopwatch on the track.
Both Andrew & owner & instructor at Trackschool, John Boston piloted the Z & Supra around Luddenham Raceway to put them both to the test.
The UniClutch clutch kits performed flawlessly in both the Z and Supra while out on the track, showing that the UniClutch system is capable and user-friendly both on the road and on the track.
Overall for both drivers the Supra came out on top as a clear winner.
Andrew is clearly happy with the way the Supra performs and compares the feel the Supra gives to a GT3RS Porsche, it’s one of the quickest cars Motive Video has raced at Luddenham Raceway.
