The time has finally come to reveal my wheels! Plus, I install my Ididit steering column, and of course there are some issues along the way…

The featured product in this video is once again the awesome Benchmark Abrasives grinder shield (Thanks to those who have already purchased it!). It’s an affordable, well built, and highly effective shield so you can keep your eyes and face safe from sparks and other flying debris while doing your thing out in the shop. You know the rule, Safety First!, so you better click the link and get yourself, or someone you would rather not see with a death wheel lodged in their face one! Don’t forget, any other shopping done after clicking the link also supports Montana Garage. Please let me know if you make a purchase, and I’ll send you FREE Montana Garage stickers as a thankyou! (commissions earned, Thanks!)

Plus, we now have a new Amazon store front. Links to the grinder hood, the rechargeable work light I often use, and other recommended shop tools can be found there. More will be added to the storefront soon. Check it out here!

Also, it’s not too late to get the children’s book starring Moose and written by my wife and daughter. It’s a great gift for all those kids in your life. What kid doesn’t like a book about farm animals? Please follow the link below to get your copy, or do any other shopping on Amazon and Montana Garage will receive a small commission. Thanks for your support.

Please let me know if you purchase a book and I will send you FREE Montana Garage AND Friends on the Farm stickers! It’s obviously a win-win situation for you.

  1. Nice to see you and Moose back! On the stearing box, normally gear oil is okay but many times the lower seal leaks on the pitman shaft so many people will use grease.

  2. Lol, couldn't help but to laugh, when you said, it took a couple of tries before you got it right !! But, in my case it took up to three tries b4 getting it right…

  3. Nice work on the steering column. In and out and in and out. Do what you gotta do. Do like the wheel and tire choice. Guess the next big reveal is the body colour(s). Look forward to the next one. Be safe and stay well.

  4. I've owned a lot of old cars and pickups, most of those old steering boxes leaked. Lots of people just fill them with grease. Obviously grease gets a 'bit' thick in the winter. I started using 105 lubriplate.

  5. Hey Brad it's coming along, just enjoy the time when you do get to work on it, soon you will be turning the key. I'm back on the 1938 Willys 2 Dr Sedan getting the frame plated and building ladder bars, I love the fabrication, looks pretty bad a$$ setting on the suspension with the old school Super ET 5 spokes,Mickey Thompson 10 by 29 slicks, nose up a little bit. Well hang in there yours is coming along nicely, yes we got a little snow and cold weather here too but it's that time just have to make the best of it, later Tony.

  6. Hi Brad, good choice on the steering change out. that bent rod would have caused grief in the future .The wheel and tire combo is spot on, and i really love the raked look, but thats just me. Good luck on the hunting, i havent been out yet. Waiting till next weekend to start the hunt. Anyway , more video,s please.

  7. Another great video Brad. Ran those same wheels on my ‘55 for 15 years or more – I really like them and awesome choice in my opinion. Cool on the line lock action too and just think of the view you’ll have with this sitting along side your delivery. Good luck on your elk hunting and we’re headed out elk hunting as well.

  8. Looking Good – Did moving the rear diff back 5/8 of an inch work out for you? – I just caught a glance and those big boots looked good. – Thread in a grease zerk and pump away on the steering box..
