@ Turbo. John you mentioned the cost just getting there and back home. I can’t believe Pilgrim/Discovery didn’t at least pay for fuel and lodging. Why? Bc I can guarantee they are paying the guys from the TV shows! Those guys have contracts that stipulate how much each driver gets. If they had been smart and really investigated some of the bad ass racers on YouTube ( John your included ) and saw how much energy and how popular some of these racers are, it would be a much better show.
What they should’ve done is invite a certain number of TV racers, maybe 20,and then invite the others like you, Beater Bomb, Rageddy Ann ( I know he’s rebuilding his car ) Nick from Hustling Horsepower etc. not only are they fast on small tire no prep but most of them would be GREAT on TV!
The real small tire guys are gonna whip them and you can tell with the cars how they have them set up compared to the big TV cars. The back half track racers are gonna kill it!!!!!
Hey the show peaple have just as much right as anybody also you have to remember it's a TV show they have to have the stars or most likely nobody would watch.
I watched Limpy's last "Weekend Recap" and his first guest was Joey Hiykel (Beater Bomb). He got an invite, but passed on participating when he saw how much testing they were going to be allowed. If you want to invoke the Cash Days name, you need to run it like the originator runs it, off the trailer, no practice hits. This reminds me a "Boxer versus MMA" match. The rules are geared towards the boxer (the TV racers) by not allowing the MMA (the true street races) their biggest advantage (for fighters, the use of their feet, for racers, their vast street experience). If the rules have to be tilted to keep the "recognizable faces" in the game, then it's not a competition, it's an exhibition.
I love it! I want to see more unknown guys get a crack. I always root the underdog. I saw a video last week Lutz racing some guy with a Mustang on small tires. He was giving Lutz the dust.
Really isn't fair people like crybaby JJ the crying boss and all his crew are running the same cars with small tires and some of the other street outlaws actually built a small tire car to run, hope the Morks and school boy do good, hope JJ and his crew go out early, and the people with real small tire cars go to the end, I mean Jeff Lutz brought a Honda civic, that's so cool. Crybaby boss shouldn't be allowed to have there same cars in my opinion.

Ya SRC was invited and he had some issues and isn't going but he said we could do it but it's not worth it with it not being what they thought
