  1. Looked like a great show! Brought back a lot of good memories!
You asked lots of questions. What about the first CBXs. I was able to get the first one into Pittsburgh in 1978. My uncle owned the local Honda dealer at the time. It was my second new bike in two years , my first bike being a new Honda CB550F Super Sport. After seeing the front cover of the January Cycle magazine CBX, Worlds fastest motorcycle, I was sold! I put on a D & D 6 into 1 racing pipe , striped off some excess weight, ie; center stand and me just weighing in at a hefty 140#,
it was pretty fast. My first trip EVER to a drag strip 7.80 in an 1/8 mile. My buddy turned a 7.76 on it. Rode that think all over the eastern US for about eight years. Didn't handle worth s#it, cheap rear shock , plastic swingarm bushings , and some skinny front forks, but for 1978, imo, nothing handled very good!.

Out of the 18 or so bikes i've had ( down to 8 now ) , must say my 2005 Hayabusa has been my favorite, set up for sport touring , higher bars, lower pegs, leather seat , sport touring wshield , cruise, soft luggage, power ports for accessories.
Disappointed bikes, H2 SXSE, and an Aprilia Capanord.

My favorite bike in the show so far? Boy that's a tough one. Probably one of the BMW from the Black collection, ie R37 or R62.
But, if i was getting something to ride daily , it would definetly be the Rune!

Keep up the good work! Love the videos!

  2. In regards to the Honda CBX ,I never owned one ,but I did climb on the back of one once when i was a kid that was being driven by an insane adult criminal ! Lets just say , I saw my life flash by and needed to change my drawers after the maniac dropped me off about 15 miles away from jump point.

  3. Jack. Thanks for the opportunity to see all of the rare bikes l’m 73 and still the 2nd owner of a Kawasaki KZ1000D Z1R Always enjoy your enthusiasm
