MAJOR CASPER NEWS:The CASPER-MATIC The 1st FORD E4OD/4R100W Transbrake Valvebody @coperacingtrans

Today is a huge Day for The F100 Called CASPER! I discuss where we are at with the Dynamic Racing Ford C4 Transmission Mighty Mite M2. Harold from Dynamic did me up a Custom 9″ Stall Converter and a new High gear Clutch drum with his Hi-Rpm piston to help prevent the dreaded C4 high gear flair.
I have bigger goals for CASPER in the future which includes running 5’s in the 1/8 mile (low 9’s in the 1/4 mile) and I want to run some Drag N Drive events. Unfortunately the C4 will not take this kind of abuse in which it will see at 1000hp at a 4200lb race weight
Enter John Cope of @coperacingtrans we met at the NoNameNationals last year and he let me drive his Gen III Hemi powered F100 and I fell in love with that Transmission. He decided that the best route to take would be to apply what he has learned from his 46RE Transmissions and apply it to the Ford E4OD/ 4R100w Transmissions and We are proud to announce the first ever Hydraulic Controlled Reverse Manual Valvebody with Transbrake for the E40D/4R100w Transmissions called the CASPER -MATIC

  1. I guess Ford didn't beat Ferrari in 65, so maybe the Caspermatic will be the new secret weapon the next time Casper catches up with Tony, the Italian. Well, Tony looks like an Italian. I'm a little surprised Tony the Italian hasn't tried building a V-12 engine out of Mopar parts? Good Luck with Casper Andy!!!!

  2. Awsome man my stock 4r100 lasted close to 175k with 450+hp and 900 ft lb tourque in my 7.3 welding truck that wieghed around 13k lb its a tough transmission cant wait to see one in casper

  3. Spragless converter eliminates the torque multiplication. I had one in a diesel, felt super lazy out of the hole.
4R100 is big in diesel and Lightning racing. Many Dodge drag trucks actually run them too, as they can be controlled, built to handle huge power (like 2k hp and over that tq), and they shift fast. I'm curious how getting rid of the electronics will do. Might get some 12v Cummins guys to got on board…
Mine is still alive at 294k behind my 7.3 in an Excursion.

  4. According to the grill, the F100 you drove, was a 1966. That was a 1 year grill. 1967 was a completely different body. Like, yours.

  5. Years back I did a C6 changed 1-2 planetary gears from the OD transmission taller gears to get things moving. Do you think lowering the suspension and a Bigger tire on back might help get you where you want to be ? Would running hoses like on the thunderbolts , carb to grill get better air flow for the carbs? Good luck

  6. Hey Andy, if memory serves a th400 absorbs about 40hp in stock form. I think a C6 was a little more? This is going to be very interesting… I still say you need a Maverick lol! Cheers bud!

  7. Too bad you aren’t running a ‘60-‘63 Ranchero your street weight would be around 2500 lbs. You would probably be running 9 second quarter miles with your current setup and way easier on parts. I have a ‘72 C10 LWB big block that runs low 7 eigth miles on 87 octane @4500 lbs with driver. I decided if I need to go quicker I will go to something much lighter! Good luck!

  8. Id take an aod over any gm junk anyday. Lighter and been as fast as a th400. Idc about cost. Gm crap is cheap for a reason. Build a Ford once and a gm 3 times. You're spending more on gm.

  9. Kudos to you Andy for deciding to keep Casper with an all Ford driveline. "Casper-Matic", has a nice ring to it. Just a reminder to go with the highest quality input shaft available. (Been there-Done that.) Lesser enthusiasts would have taken the conventional route, jumped ship and gone with one of the modified Generic Motors auto transmissions. As a guy who never did and never will have my name on the registration of anything other than a Ford Motor Company product, I thank you and John Cope.
