Let's Go Drag Racing! 28's Gone Wild/252 List Series / Stunnaville

It’s race day, and it’s gonna be a wild one! 28’s Gone Wild teamed up with 252 List Series to make this race happen. The spectator and car count was huge. Track was in great shape and boy o boy was there some great racing. We made some progress, but also facing some set backs. Every other outting seems that it was 2 steps back every time, but this time we took a few steps forward! After months of doubting everything I know about drag racing Randy’s hot rod is showing us that she is willing to work, but we gotta work for it if we want to go fast!

  1. 2nd pass A to B, you both should be flat stoked now. Now, you can begin the fine tuning. A lot needs to be reviewed top to bottom on all sensors and settings in the tune, one change at a time.

  2. In My opinion I think the seals in that Turbo are cooked. from having to much pressure and then not having the correct drain on it, I think the seals have been used beyond their capacity. I think the oiling system that is on it now should work, but it is the cooked seals that are making it blow smoke still. You Guys have done a Mega job on getting it sorted, But in the time it has taken to fix the issue it has hurt the seals in the Turbo. I also think the Turbo oiling system is way to complex for feeding and then returning oil to a Low Mount Turbo. With all those ball valves and such, it would be very easy to forget something. Still a Great video TJ. Well Done.

  3. Ive noticed your method of tuning when motor is on boost on the brake, isnt popping and banging…i think thsts great. what do you do to limit the rpm and not have it pop out the ex

  4. It looks like you pretty much got it figured out. I knew that you would. I had no doubt, all because you got God's blessing going with you where ever you are at. Stay blessed and keep up the good work. I will be watching and praying.

  5. Why don't you boys hire someone that can sort that car out??? Its obviously over y'all's head. This poor guy cant get down the track without a new, or an old issues. No offense TJ,….but "it is what it is" at this point.

  6. When you get that car lined out it's gonna fly. Turbo john, I have a question I hope you will answer. I have a car that has a similar engine to yours. A 364 co ls. It makes 500 hp and 498lb .now it is time for me to pick a turbo. I race mostly street. I'm fine with 1100 tire power. I'm picking an 80 billet wheel on the compressor side. My thoughts are about the turban side. I won't run it much past 1to1 on boost to back pressure. I have choices on turban wheels and a.r sizing
I would like to have your advice on this if you will. Thank you
