Having watched plenty of Top Gear episodes, you understand that they’ve reviewed a lot of cars over the years. And some of them have been electric cars. From the very early days of the first hybrid/EVs to the very late stage supercars.
However, even though the cars have changed considerably, a certain sentiment still remains… So, I suggest we investigate this overarching opinion that has been echoed throughout the Top gear series. Predominantly, of course, by Jeremy Clarkson himself. Not a surprise at all…

Eh EVs are a tad overrated in performance car side of things. No doubt tg were in the pockets of car companies and they would want it’s popularity to slow down. EVs are still too heavy and aren’t really where hybrids or even IC are in terms of performance. Possibly aren’t the best in environmental things either. Maybe being right into cars would make you hate these things and not just because your a purist (which Jeremy would be).
