It’s HAPPENING! NEW Team and Replacement for the CHINESE GP?!

The talks about the 11th team entering the sport have been going on forever, and now we are closer than ever to this happening! Although Andretti was the loudest name when this topic came up, obviously there are other individuals that would give everything in their power to enter the most elitist and competitive racing sport in the world! And apart from that, we are likely to see a replacement for the Chinese GP in the upcoming days, one that has been canceled yet again, for the fourth season in a row! So, who is the new owner and what track are we going to see in 2023?

  1. From a pure $$ standpoint, the shortsightedness of the team principles rejecting Andretti makes one wonder if they have any business acumen whatsoever! The growth potential for a future TV contract for the US market craving a REAL US team and American drivers, is astronomical and rejecting Andretti Global might rob the F1 teams of long term massive revenues. Look at the NFL and NBA TV contracts and you see the potential growth possibilities.

  2. With China's attitude towards the rest of the world along with Russia they should be band from all external sports.
Also what they have done to with world with Covid, I still believe that they were developing germ warfare and there was an unintended release from the lab which was initially denied giving time for" that germ" to get out and all over the world.

  3. No new teams will be added for the 2026 season, from 2026 Honda will come with a new F1 team, Audi and Ford will join a team. So don't talk nonsense if NO team will be added in 2023. Stop telling lies.

  4. F1 proving that they are corrupt. Gifting a world drivers title and stopping Andretti Racing in F1 is so wrong. Wanting bow to china is just another disgusting thing. The most corrupt country, the country that gave us Covid. Yet F1 cannot do enough to promote china.

  5. Ha! As if they will ever allow an Andretti or any other filthy Yankee to grace F1. But Chinese, those are the favorite people of Europe. >.<

There will be no racing in China ever again.

  6. The CCP government is right now killing hundreds of protesters against their COVID lockdowns. They enslave millions of Uyghurs and are the second most oppressive govt. on the planet next to North Korea. Zhou shouldn't even be allowed in F1, nor the Chinese money that backs him and the creepy FIA is wringing their hands over this? Meanwhile, they're busting Andretti Racing's stones? Really?

  7. Just in passing $8b of assets under management is complete chicken feed in the investment world. Capital Group (to pick an asset manager at random) manages $2.6 trillion. It's not their money, it's money they manage for other people.

  8. I would like a third team andretti would be fantastic for the sport. Especially for the American market. Anybody will do though because of splitting Ferrari and the others apart give us some decent racing .

  9. Andretti Motorsports should just wait another couple of years, let the massive European recession (way worse than what we will experience in the US) settle in for a while. The current field just may be a little thinner by that time. Hell maybe Toto will come asking for a job.

  10. I had said it before..
    F1 Needs more teams ,
2 more teams will allow more rookies chance to get in to a race seat.
more car =more seat to allow younger talent to come in to the sport and still allow close racing. It may also bring different engine suppliers in 2026 wot with new rule and cost.
Who would like to see a US engine go again Mercedes or Audi or ferrari in 2026..and see if the Honda sorry Redbull engine is going to worth its hipe. I thing 4 new teams if there are enough interest and they meat the rules layed out by the FIA and can put up the funds as layed out in the rules…then why not..

  11. FIA popularity exploding in the US. FIA and the current teams welcome those monies, but not a team representing the US. This will only detract from F1's momentum in the states. No one likes petulant owners whining. Especially when they're whining about a motorsports name rivaling F1's history. Plenty of other motorsports in the US if F1 wants to act juvenile.

  12. How can we have a French works team and yet no French GP? Yes it’s a bit out in the boonies but it’ll be a sell out like every other race and it’s a great track.
I’d prefer an African GP even to Portugal, as nice as that track is. Represent the world and the teams at a minimum.

  13. I don't know if FOM realizes what the Andretti name means, even to non-race fans here in the states. Growing up as a kid the Andretti name was synonymous.
Anytime someone would be driving too fast, or cut you off, you'd get; "whata ya think you're Mario Andretti or something!!" It would attract a larger audience here stateside, guaranteed.

  14. There are also rumors of a team coming in associated with Hyundai. But I can't but think that 12 teams would be even better than 10. I really don't understand the hesitation. There used to be far more.

  15. Indy car is not F1. Where are they going to get the people to design and build the cars? I am sure Indy car designers could eventually get up to speed but how well would they do in the beginning?

  16. F1 is supposed to split profits.
    Right ?
The current excuse by the existing teams is that they would lose money because it would cut their share.

    If Andretti racing was added,
How , on earth would they lose ?????
Does anyone realize how many more fans this would bring to the sport !!?????
If the Andretti's get into F1 it would probably increase profits and more than likely Aaaaaaa-Lotttttttt !!!!!
This stonewalling is Obviously an attempt to not have an American team come into F1 and Win !
Because that's what the Andretti Family and it's racing team due and have done !
    WIN !!!

  17. This is all good news. F1 is going down the toilet, so something new (ANYTHING NEW) is welcome. And we don't need China.
Now we just need to get some decent engines, a less woke format of rules and penalties, and stop Ferrari having an unfair connection to the rule makers.
    Maybe there is hope.
