  1. When Jared was talking about having the axle shaft coming out if it broke was a great time to show a picture of what happened to Johnny Rev, when Jared broke it…the first time.

  2. very well used diff oil from a london taxi has a certain wiff about it,
but the worst odour imo is single decker 'hoppa' buses that use an auto box
from a mercedes 200 series car 4 speed, when they are driven till they totally cook the fluid
melt the forward drive clutch pack & no longer drive forwards the smell from them
will make you puke, like we had to sit in london traffic middle of summer for hours with
a fried box in an open van and both of us would get weird headaches, have to stop and air out the van
and often be off work the next day feeling very unwell, burnt up ATF stinks but these buses was a whole
different level, they got so hot the temp sticker on the casing pegged at 400C would melt & wrinkle up

  3. wow shocking build glad ur fixing it, i would use the cars factory body shock towers & completely diff rear end set up lexus/skyline set ups good for 1800bhp with modded parts

  4. After preheating the parent metal on the axle housing and new ends wouldn't it be stronger to Arc weld with 6010 or 6011 rod, then coverpass with a 7018 rod? I guess It would be harder to not accidently over penetrate onto the jig rod you had running through the middle

  5. For 3.08 gears, are you running a really tiny tire? I thought 3.73s and 4.10s were reasonably common for street/strip cars.

if 4.20s require 12000rpm (I'm assuming no overdrive) and a typical "small" 28" tire, that means 238mph. Even with a 26 inch tire, not sure if anything is smaller than that, 221mph.

Or, to look at the numbers I'd expect to see, a 7500rpm engine, 4.20, 26" tall tire makes 138mph. Just how fast are you expecting to go in the 1/4?

  6. That's crazy. I've seen the end results of that breaking but I never knew that's what caused it. I'm not the most well educated man in the 8.8 Ford, so this is amazing to me.

  7. I don't know how you were so calm. I wonder how many people got it. All of your holes in the chassis were for a mid plate that was wrong. In hindsight I would tell myself to check that plate on the block first but… well… we – as humans – don't always do what seems – in hindsight – as judicious. Damnation man, I feel for you on this one.

  8. And here I am screaming at my screen that you've got that motor plate in backwards… because you dropped it… and I've done that before with a trans crossmember that I cursed and screamed at for 2 days before I realized… it's backwards from how I drilled and cut it. Duh…
