A young Marine who just got back from Iraq in '07 was TEXTING his gf that he was on his way to be with her in a F150 pulling a 12ft trailer both all loaded down.. I was at the stop light waiting for the light to turn green right in front of the Titusville police station. The guy was doing 60mph, didnt see me and never hit the brakes, I didnt see him as I wasnt looking in the rear view as he was texting he rear-ended my car at 60 pushing me 77ft past the 4 way intersection, his truck was like a can opener to my 1998 avenger.. The seat recline bracketry broke and in that instant my stomach below the belly button developed a hernia and my guts popped out under the skin, about the size of a softball, all this happened in seconds. My seat belt mounting ripped off and I was thrown all around, head went through the sunroof slicing me up pretty good and had eaten the steering wheel at some point. Shattered all my teeth and 3 lower vertebrae had been cracked.. At the time I was in and out of it but I woke up furiously worried about the system I just installed 3 weeks prior, Denon z1 hu, pioneer prs speakers and re audio xxx 12" sub, 4 orion nt200's & 2 usamps usa2000's all mint.. Took me a long time to get all that together! About a minute later of me freaking out, I realized I couldnt see out of my right eye, which was full of blood.. I did not sue the guy, he put his ass on the line for our country and I felt bad for him, the insurance paid 67k in medical bills. 3 Marine buddies of mine did 2 or 3 tours each, 1 is dead the others are meth heads now cuz they cant get out of their own head.. Even though it was his fault I felt he was lucky to make it back! My life was spared thanks to the double layered Birch 3.2cuft ported box I had in the trunk, it and the amp rack absorbed a lot of shock and if it wasnt there I wouldve been pinned to the dash.. My shattered teeth were all removed in '08, most painful experience of my life! Without them I started to socially recluse. Without teeth it was hard to smile as I was super conscious and hated how it looked! Having a good smile is very important! I cant wait for the day!
