  1. On the DCT: it is brilliant but takes a lot of practice to master on a bike this size. Rain mode for in town and slow speed gives you the finesse to feel confident. If you do a test ride in Sport mode you may miss experiencing what is an exceptional motorbike that doesn't get the credit it deserves for being able to commute and tour all year round, in both comfort and style, with luggage.

  2. Yes it has a low centre of gravity, I can ride mine at a very slow walking pace, no problems in traffic, around town etc. However, the weight WILL bite you in the ass sooner or later. Everyone who has ridden mine has dropped it, there's a reason they come with factory engine and rear body crash bars.
Tbh, I'm tired of it, it's perfect but dull and demands too much constant attention. I have a big twin Harley which seems light by comparison and my go to bike for riding fun is a 310cc Zontes.

  3. Quintessential Honda for americans. Kind of Harley ( more tecnological and quality driven) lovers target.
Also, the very same VFR1200F /DCT brake system cannot but surprise anyone did not know it.

  4. Luggage Top case was updated in 2022 not 2021. GPS Sucks, I've replace the factory Windscreen with a F4 Customs Windshield that is far better. The Rest is just superbe. Oh! the lightning on this at night. WOW!

  5. Love mine. Took it to the Pyrenees, was never slower than other bikes in the windy bits, the drag there was so easy, and the brakes are simply stunning. Keeper.

  6. As usual, your high-spirited review has brought the video to yet another level of excitement.
I do own a '22 DCT GW and it is the most comfortable bike for long distance touring hands down. The air pocket where I sit is nicely protected and the protection alleviates the rider from road stress quite a bit.
In the front, if you do want some wind, you can pop up the air-vent foil (on the top of the dash) to direct a gentle amount of wind into your face.

Besides the joy of riding provided by the linear torque, the flat-6 does protrude out slightly and prevents me from too much leaning when negotiating curves.

  7. As an American watching this video it is just stressful seeing you on the opposite side of the road all the time. I keep having to remind myself you are supposed to be there and aren't in danger of being smashed by an oncoming truck at every corner lol

  8. it's NOTa big bike. It's HEAVY but not huge in stature. I was surprised. When I sat on it my knees were hitting the fairings in front. Very disappointing as I want a DCT model and there's not much choices out there for automatics.

  9. Great review, interesting comment on test riding a Goldwing , as a K1600GT owner I seriously considered purchasing a Goldwing DCT however locating a Honda dealer who actually has a DCT equipped Wing I could test ride has proved to be extremely difficult (if not impossible), I even contacted Honda UK and asked for their assistance in locating a dealer who had a DCT Wing I could road test, they didn't even bother replying, so have now abandoned the idea which is a shame as I really quite like the idea of owning a DCT equipped Wing.

  10. There are hwy peg options but not cheap.

We’re in the market for a touring bike. Just spent an entire day checking out EVERY brand. Long day but well worth it.

Wife’s perspective as the passenger, hands down GW the most comfortable.

6’1” 34” inseam ‘driver’ w/ long arms…bars are WAY forward and WAY low.

$800 for new bars will fix the bars issue.

    Going with the GW.

  11. Would love a Goldwing Bagger but at 6'4 with long legs it's impossible to fit on it so I'm going for a Harley Street Glide and you can use the touch screen with gloves on which you can't on the GW.
