  1. This was pure skill at work. The cars reaction time was amazing. Plus the car got the power to the ground. Have drivers swap and the truck would win.

  2. Remember those electric cars you had when you were a kid! Yeah me too but I preferred the gas engine RC's, they were way more fun.

  3. This is supposed to be comparing acceleration. The Hellcat revs his engine before the start, thereby adding the acceleration energy required to get his engine up to speed before the start. The electric motor is not turning before the start.

  4. The amount of copium in this comment section is hilarious. Every since that pos was announced all everyone was saying was, "MoRe HoRsEpOwEr ThEn A hElLcAt".

  5. That Rivian was dragging. I expected more from the EV.

It was still impressive, but all I've seen is Teslas launching like crazy from a dig. Maybe should have got the Tesla.

  6. Hell cat is a 7.8sec car. whats this 11sec bs? was he just easy on the gas or this is not a hell cat. I just rode in one and within 1/32 of a mile we were doing 90 and it took everything the driver had to keep the back tires from slipping.

  7. I like how the driver, David Carl, comments about what's going on but everyone keeps arguing. SMHL your wife must be cool. Both of those vehicles are sweet! As an electrician and someone who likes progress I love electric motors, the silent instant power and speed are otherworldly. However, the raw power of a muscle car's open headers tearing down the track, takes your breath away and there is nothing like it.

  8. Limiter? I think the only limiter here is the inexperienced driver, I have seen what that truck can do with 1000 plus np at the wheel

  9. Yea that pick up better hope there is an electric charging station at the end of the strip. Rivan is killing nature in Georgia all over to build these ugly little pieces of crap.

  10. my son owns Ford 150 electric first time I was in it the acceleration was unbelievable. They just need to work on how far you can go on a charge and charging stations time and access. I do believe the technology is there powers that be really don’t want electric vehicles but sooner or later maybe not my lifetime. But within the next 2030 years, it’ll be the norm.

  11. I'm not quite sure where everybody is so impressed with these scenarios; They should not have EV racing against combustion engines. They are worlds apart and how they operate, and what they're capable of. That's pretty much like putting a man in women's sports and…oh… we already do that…. And before you go and tell me the combustion engine one, that is the typical norm of how an electric car operates. You can take pretty crappy models, and they are worlds faster than their counterpart for a combustion engine or something equivalent because they are instant torque
