HEADS UP NO PREP RACING FOR CA$H! Clayton's $500 Grudge Race | SPP No Prep Shootout – July 13th 2018

This time on SPPTV we have a special episode full of tight races and cool cars! The SPP No Prep Shootout is a No prep race we hold at our local drag strip in Gimli Manitoba. We invite the fastest small tire and outlaw racers in our area, everyone pays into a pot, and someone goes home with the cash! We’ve already had another event, that video will be posted soon as well.

SPPTV regulars will know what Clayton’s black Mustang is about, but if you are new… It has a 348ci SBF with a 88mm Turbocharger. It is a blow through carb’d setup and hasn’t changed much over the years, but Clayton and his Mustang always show up ready to win on race day. For this race Clayton is running 28×10.5 Mickey Thompson slicks! Can he win again?

Make sure to check out our channel for tons more automotive adventure videos. We don’t just race cars, we build them and do all kinds of other cool car guy things! Thanks for watching! Sorry this video took so long to release, but I hope you enjoy it!

  1. Well there is the fact, that on top of what Rob stated about the difference in Canadian dollar bill's and U.S. bill's, is the fact that Canadian dollar bill's are made from plastic. Oh, and Rob is correct on being able to tell the difference between the different values of the bills based on the colour. If you happen to be drunk, due to the fact, I had heard the exact same thing from others, while I was living in Canada!

  2. Manitoba boys got some pretty dangerous street cars! That Subaru was surprising and that skyline was pretty crazy too! Total Sleepers at first glance. Clayton’s car looks like it was dialed in! Im hoping to take my car (94 ls swapped supra) down the track some day, kinda nervous because I’ll be a green horn and Ive heard the back half of the track can get a little slippery. Not sure if that’s true or not but anyway great video! I’m from the Steinbach area and I love seeing Manitoba guys with such a great Chanel on YouTube.

  3. Good job Clayton! The Nova should have sat out that one run and just forfeit the win to the Vette if he couldn't get his stuff together and get staged any quicker than that.

  4. Awesome job guys, congrats Clayton…question for Rob down below…. Found this channel about two months ago and been bing watching ever since. Of course im subscribed and like, but i dont comment much..(shame on me)..i will though. Sorry. I have a question for Rob. Your garage…i know yous are from Canada, i know the weather yous get…i'm from Buffalo NY…probly know our weather just as bad. In the winter, i heat my garage with a pretty big torpedo heater. Its a 2 1/2 car with a section off to the side thats half the length of it deep with my kinda office with desk and all and to keep my tools out of the way for more area to work on cars. The heater gets the garage heated up in like 5 minutes…like t-shirt work in 10 below. But the things so nasty, and loud..but gotta turn off every 15 min when it gets cold in there…(i know..better insulation…but got better things to do. Just wanted to know how you heat your garage? I would like to get something quieter..(i dont hear any torpedo in your vids..lol)..to just kinda maintain the heat when "HELL" isnt on. Torpedo works great to warm it quick but too loud, cant even hold a conversation when hell is on. Propane? maybe IDK. But winter almost here and thought id ask you what you use, or a suggestion of what to use. Hope you know what im saying, dont know how to exactly write it. But, hope you can help….didnt see a furnace in your garage unless its upstairs in that door you have..(cool). Well, hope you see this, and keep up the great work guys.
67 camaro here…mini tub, hoosier quick time pros, 12 pt cage, 4 inch cowl, 532 BBC, Naturally Aspirated, 824 hp..(dyno by Jan Cen Racing..sure you heard of them or seen there stickers on many race cars..always doing work for Canada…mostly pro mod work…cars and engines)..,Dana 60 with spool & 4.56 gears, T-400 with rev.valve body and brake..awesome car…street driven regularly. And of course other toys. But, man, if you could help me out with heater thing….your the only vids im addicted to right now, and no better way to ask someone from Canada, with similiar wicked coldness. Ok..sorry so long. But say hello to the guys for me and tell them yous are all doing awesome job. One of the best channels on youtube. Not many guys can pull it off like you guys. Very informative and succesful videos. Thanks Rob, and hope you guys stay warm….wow…longest fucking comment i ever made. But thats good…Right? Helps so much ,about to do 5.3 turbo in my sons truck….you guys gave me tons of help…Thank. You's for that….(especially Rob…lol)..na…you all good. And man…you can tig and mig…fuck…wish i could do that. I dont know who reads this, but make sure this gets to Rob. Look forward to hearing from him. Ok…..gotta go refill my solo cup.

  5. I would have back that asshole right out of that lane !! Or staged the vette and send him, the vette wasn't up on the chip but that was one of the worst burn downs in history !!!#
