  1. Put a 3/8 Gurney lip on the trailing edge of that "Wang" and get a large increase in down force. Oh, and get tin soldier fab bolt in upper bracket mounts for shorter upper arms and make that thing bite!

  2. I took the slide and survived the ride. That spinny spinny effect had me thinking an episode of The Twighlight Zone was starting.
It would be nice to have a pressure sensor or strain gauge to see how much that wing is pushing down. It looked like it went pretty straight. Call down to the engine room and order full steam. It will probably be fine.

  3. I feel like you should have found someone to race you for 2 bucks and a soda . I am sure you will get it finished and figured out . Hopefully quickly .

  4. A basic way to look at airflow, stall, etc, is use wool tufts held on with thin packing tape. Use your GoPro to see what happening. Good luck with the new car.

  5. Iirc Williams F1 team back in 1988's German GP qualifying used a very low rear wing that was pretty much lvl with the top of the rear tyres? (Type "Williams f1 low rear wing" into Google and look at the images tab there is a picture of it.) Iirc they found it gave pretty similar downforce to the higher version and not too many advantages? hence they went back to the usual higher version?

  6. Happy to see you getting some laps in on the car, getting used to it a little! I don't blame you for being scared for the 1st pass, that was a big deal to bring a brand new car with no chassis data out to an event like that! Can't wait to see the car in the next few weeks though. You'll get the setup right with it, keep your head up! I'd like to see the car in a wrap, or take it to Maaco for their $600 special!lol
It'll look better than gold spray bombs John! Ain't no shame in having a decent painted, nice lookin race car that's fast, and home built!lol

  7. in order to get a better idea of the air flow during a race wouldn't you need to put a jack under the front end to simulate the front travel. to me it looks like you need to about double the attack angle.

  8. Ry needs to get some vids up man. i love watching that guy.

all you guys are awesome. i watch all of yalls vids. all the youtubers you had in this vid i watch
