Dang! .memorie lane! My first loan was for a 1983 xr 200, it would go 70 mph. I would still have it, but someone stole it, f ers. Now i have a 1999 dr350sex, street legal. My first big bike was a 69 bultoco!

Find a 1985 xr200r… they have the RFVC two exhaust and two intake valves two carburetors with two exhaust ports with a two into one header and very fast. So fast in the woods will make you hate life if you're on an xr500r especially in a river bottom shootout called the beer can derby back when the two bikes were new…. I had a chance to buy one brand new in 1985 for the same money they wanted for a 1984 xr500r… So I checked the xr500r as I intended to make it street legal and did . The xr500r Wade 260 lb dry and the xr200r weighed around 220 lb about the same weight of the cr250r with the handling the same making the xr200r very hard to pass in the woods
