  1. This is just my opinion. And don’t get me wrong because when the Maverick first came out, I consider buying one. I do like them but I just think the pro r for me is still the better car. I think the suspension is better. The car all around is still stronger. I like the seating position better. I like the fact that the seats can just be pulled out for cleaning without having to unbolt them, I like the GPS and ride command, and group ride set up better, and still like the seating position better in the Polaris.

  2. At this point who cares what's the better of the side by side whatever unit you're happy with drive They are also close that what I'm in is ridiculous And then the money you spend after you get one trying to make it better and faster and more power and blow it up and break it and it cost you more money ridiculous

  3. The Pro R motor is joke. 2000cc boat anchor that’s in a class by itself that doesn’t make any more power than a tuned x3. You guys are down at sea level so it barely gets by, but you take the Pro R up in altitude, and it quickly diminishes in power significantly .. i just think it’s a huge swing and a miss for Polaris.

  4. When Polaris gets their head out of their ass and developes a DCT transmission (which I imagine they're developing it now and will release it next year or following year at the latest) and couple with a good solid 60 ml turbo this would be the fastest torkiest side-by-side on the market easily.. another benefit of being a turbo, you can ride at higher elevations like St Anthony's without such a loss of power… I mean s***, look at LaRue's racing and the power he can get from that 2 l is insane, 750 horsepower at the ground and that's with a 40% reduction due to belt drive!! Imagine that same engine output in a direct drive transmission yeah, game changer for a couple years with a competition to pick up.. But there's the Segway supervillain four-cylinder( hybrid or not) coming out with pretty substantial specs…..$235 horsepower and nearly twice a torque of the poor R… Curious how it will respond to tunes and aftermarket support, possibly a serious contender in this market.. ESPECIALLY AT THE ENTRY PRICE OF 27.5 K! LOTS OF MONEY LEFT OVER FOR UPGRADES!

  5. Great video guys, love the head to head action! Have to say the Maverick R is growing on me, even starting to like the looks a bit. I’m am struggling with the price though, there all kinds of factory incentives on Pro R’s right now, so a Pro R Ultimate can be had for roughly 10k less than a smart shock Mav. At this point I would say Pro R to Mav R retail to retail price I would buy the Mav R.

  6. Not a big dune guy but I drag raced a stage 5 x3 2 seater(think it was sitting around 215-230 hp compared to my ~215 at wheel) with my mav R and we were neck and neck going up a big dune on the back side of sand hollow. He was on 35” zillas and I was on stock tires (I don’t think the zillas helped him).
Not sure if this matters or not, but figured it’s useful info!
Also, check out my buddy’s YT channel Montana mountain UTV for some crawling with my mav R if you want. I’ll be releasing a video soon doing the 9/10 obstacle “Iraq” on “the fallen” trail eventually too. I’m very impressed with it so far in the rocks. Shameless plug over hahaha
