Getting the Ford F100 called Casper ready for NNN,How bout a $5000 Grudge Race@Uncle Tony's Garage



Today as I just got home from Detroit, I discuss the issues of getting Casper my 1971 Ford F100 ready for battle at the #nonamenationals I believe everything is on point but the elephant in the room is my headers… I’m having Tyler Summers at BarnBuilt Speed and Fab build my fenderwell headers to marry MIXED UP BOSS and Casper… He doesn’t have a opening until the 29th of this month so with that being said… I’m not going to have much time to test before the NNN and so @Uncle Tony’s Garage and I have decided to move our scheduled race to a later date in the fall… This race was supposed to happen over 2 years ago and since we have big money riding on this race I want to have my ducks in a row… I know Tony was hoping for me to have issues.. but like my Dad always said..never take a knife to a gun fight…

  1. Love Motor City. EBF II loves GM Tower too. But being a Mopar Guy who drives Casper also makes you Tri-partisan too. It's all about Unity, Mr Wood….and, Like the Deed of Gift at the Americas Cup, the Challanger and the Incumbent, get to decide how they are gonna raise a Real Race. Cheers!

  3. Really looking forward to seeing Casper at the track. I'm kinda confused about the race against Tony. Brian Cabral posted two days ago that Mr wills dying breed garage told him that bottle rocket won't be at the nonamenationals because he's having problems with the new transmission or he can't make it that day. Pick one. I'm going with the fact that both of you are gonna need more time to get Casper and bottle rocket dialed in.

    I'm dying to see his karma catch up.
    He's a content leech and all talk and likes to lean on shit and talk and get nothing done and spread bad info about things hahahahahaha.

  7. I think Casper has this one in the bag. IMO, half the race is making the race that was agreed upon when the bet was made. If you can’t get your car ready in time for the race then you lose. Was there a reason why UTG couldn’t make the race? I have never seen a drag race event stopped or cancelled because one of the racers couldn’t get their car ready. Andy you are a great guy and great sport. Both guys should be treated fairly. Andy, I don’t think you get enough credit for building a great engine and having it ready for the NNN. Too much slack has been given to UTG for not having is car ready. A true drag racer would give you the Money for not living up to the bet and then ask you if you would still like to race. Give you the option to turn it down and say, let’s race when you are ready. That was not done here. Real weak on UTG’s part. Just saying, telling you he won’t be ready for the race and not give an option, it not a real drag racer and goes against the unwritten code of drag racers.

  8. Since you're getting custom headers built, have you considered a 4-2-1 collector design to aid in additional torque production / less cylinder-2-cylidner cross talk??? From the Dyno video, it seems you'd benefit from a 4-2-1 based on the engines operating range, as well as it having a bit more signal to the tunnel ram.

O god your totally gapping the noreon tony…I've seen your truck run even drove my scamp down to Shadyside for a footbrake bracket race from Ohio and I dont think tony has even went 8.0s in the 1/8 before. It's like why build a 318 when you can build a 360..shits annoying yea 318 great in your fifth Avenue but not in your race car or whatever he calls that thing…..I'm a mopar guy and I want you to win says somthing

  10. Its Still confusing that you have built this new exotic engine. Your old 393 is still quicker than UT. You could have thrown together on old 351 Windsor, throw on some nos and you would still be quicker than the lil old teen. Should have gone the cheap way….down and dirty, with no excuses. Oh well.
