Out of all the manufacturers never to win Le Mans, Nissan has arguably come the closest, scoring several top ten finishes and generally having competitive cars on the world stage. This car was their last real attempt at overall victory. You probably haven’t heard of the R391 (unless you’re a nerd or have Forza 8), so you can guess how well it did. Here’s an exhaustive recap of its history, design, and performance.

    The R391 surely also gets the honours of one of the best liveries in the history of motorsport, just look at it! They should bring it back.
