This 1984 Dodge D100 was parked for over a decade untouched. A guy recently got it running and driving, but it desperately needs washed and a make over! let’s make this an official “Going to Town RIG!”

Yes I have always enjoyed the wet tire look
Derek, Avoid the paper plates on the highway! They're made of the premium Chinese material!!
I 2nd the new clean look on tires.
Make sure you take that same rag and wipe it across the whole vehic!
I like tires glossy
I love a nice glossy shine on my tires
I dont like the real shiny black on the tires. Mine are however they out from the drive through car wash.
What do you use on your tires?
Does anyone remember if derrick said he had a discount code for “cold case” radiators ????? About to buy one is why I’m asking.
What's the can of clear you rubbed on the truck an where can you get it
keep the dodge
Good job, man
I never post much in comments. I would love to see more videos like this with one of the old cars or trucks in the yard. My kids are grown now away at college. I missed too many days when they were 26:42 younger. Can't get those days back. Ever. My favorite all time episode was painting the old white Chevy for your brother. Maybe do a rescue road trip one week or episode a month.
give away
You can get the sticky off the steering wheels until the humidity hits then it come right back.
Beautiful! Thanks.
YES, a vintage/classic looking VGG license plate would me awesome.
That is a beautiful truck, cleaned up real nice. As for tires, I just hit them with the hose while I'm washing the truck and thats it. I don't need the tires to be fancy just functional.
Get you some mold and mildew remover squirt bottle at the dollar store next time you wash one in this mossy condition, this feller been doin this for 60 years.
That’s funny how you mention. Do that project and get it going. I’m doing that with my Mack. Originally wanted to do a nice restoration like my dads but I’m making it as it was but with no painting or very least of paint so whatever parts I throw on it it won’t match the truck at all what it was originally. Just enough to enjoy and be road safe and go to shows. Later on in its life when I get my own shop I’ll tear her all down again and for the last time and give it that love it definitely deserves
Pausing the video to make this comment. I'm at the part where you are working on fastening the grill to the truck. I haven't seen what you used yet but if it were me I would use radiator shroud or body bolt clips.
Then we can make some happy little trees and .maybe we see a happy little cabin on the dash…..
Turning into Bob Ross
Great work!! Love the ole' Dodge…just one thing kept bugging me, one headlight surround is black the other is silver (once I saw it…). But hey, that is an awesome truck…I would daily that for years. Thank you and keep the great content coming.
I lost it when you said that the grill was made by "tang yang" Once again you have managed to make me laugh way too hard at something my wife wouldn't crack a smile at. You the man Derek!
Grilles, lamp assemblies and stuff of the like- TYC makes good stuff for not a lot of money. And they’re Taiwan, not China. Their work ethic and commitment to quality is a Western approach to things, like the USA. When we used to make things.
Vanillaroma.
ITS LIKE BARNACLES ON A TURTLES SHELL ON THAT PICKUP!!
