Strategic oil reservoir is getting worried when that car started up
That old girl definitely deserves respect. Nice old beater video.
With a little Steppanwolf Born to Be Wild playing in the background, this trip could have been the Premier Episode on a new Netflix series "VGG The Adventure Begins". Stephen Spielberg would be envious.
Not 22 years Derek……..32 years . 1990 – 2022 = 32 years . Wow ! thats a long oil change interval . lol
Tilt wheel – push forward on the turn signal lever. Guarantee it has it.
Marquis. It is pronounced Mar-KEE. The "S" is silent. Brougham is pronounced like "chrome." Brome. I think 1972 was the first year for the 460 cu. in. in the Marquis. Before that it was unique to the Lincoln line. Looks like the left rear wheel cover is from a 1967 Galaxie/ LTD. Great video!
@24:31 when you said “I’ll never see that one again” that’s where Gomer Pyle would’ve took the car completely apart just to find the tool.
What a place. North English-area historical tornado activity is near Iowa state average. It is 91% greater than the overall U.S. average.
Eaglegards…
Derek…You must check the trunk first and see what gifts are in there!!!!
sell.
Took a break there to go check out Sara Evans. Hottage factor high. Yup.
"That needs changed immediately. I'll do it later."
THAT 460 IS AN FE ENGINE…IF CYLINDERS ARE BLOWN FROM RINGS…LACK OF MAINTANENCE…OR 176,000 TO 276,000 MILES ON ENGINE…
DRIVERS WINDOW…GEAR IS MESSED UP…PULL ELECTRIC MOTOR…USE SHORT QUARTER 20 BOLTS OR NYLON DOWLING CUT TO FIT…3 IN EACH GEAR…
My father in law has a 1984 Oldsmobile 98 brougham with 61k original miles in my back yard. All factory complete car. In this same condition. Sunroof.
I've missed a Derek resurrection! We've got so much to learn in advance of the zombie apocalypse, after all!
That car is sayin, "I just want to go home."
Just across the line into Kentucky? Looks like you were at Exit 3 off I-24 in Paducah. Great video!
This car reminds me of the green '71 Mercury in the "White Lightening" movie with Burt Reynolds, Old Burt drove the brown 1971 Ford Custom 500, of course, fellers and fellettes.
75,000 miles and 120,000 gallons of gas later…
Toss that POS to someone else, who has Exxon stocks and owns an O'Reilly Auto Parts too.
I think the speedo may have rolled over once or twice. I've had 100k mile 429/460 that still ran good. It either has a ton of miles or it was really used up hard
This guy's schtick gets old really, really, really quickly.
