With a big, 420-horsepower 5.0-liter V8, our 10-year-old Ford Mustang GT is a powerful contender in a drag race, even completely stock. It should mince the 355-horsepower 2024 Acura TLX, right? Muscle car versus turbocharged V6 sports sedan…the results are interesting!

The TLX Type S is one of the best looking sedans. It's severely underrated. The only sedan that I think looks timeless is the 3generation TL, especially in the Type S.
As soon as I saw AWD on the Acura I knew what was up…
High altitude makes a difference from F/I and N/A
Yeah agree with Tommy. Electric is fast but not fun. I rather hear a gasoline engine.
I regret selling my 1998 Acura TL 3.2 V6. Sold it because I was tired of it in my driveway during Covid, regretted it since .
Two different cars. Low quality American versus mid quality Japanese
The Ford lost but I would love to own a GT manual. Maybe someday….
My 2020 pp1 5.0 would kill that type S but I would love to have that type S as a 2nd car it’s gorgeous.
I would like to see these 3 cars in a time attack race would tell the real story
I wouldn't call the Acura high performance but nice sedan yes cause it gets smoked by all the cars in it's segment
Goofy. Why would you compare a 2014 5.0 mustang against much newer cars?
Good looking car ruined by excessive weight. Take away the AWD, lose some fat and this would be a nice proper sports sedan. Car looks great but the performance numbers in our current world do not match those looks.
This must be old video. I watched a video last week where Roman traded in the red mustang for a new blue one.
You guys are comparing an American legend of a car against an overpriced overrated essentially a Honda Accord? Decades ago, I would have made a dumb mistake by picking an Acura over a Mustang but now I am wiser, without a doubt I would pick a Mustang. The Acura as a brand is failure last couple decades. Who in the world would buy an Acura for 59K! There are so many other reliable options like the Lexus IS350 which is twice more reliable and more durable and will hold the value like a rock.
Anyone else a lot less interested in pure acceleration in a straight line?
Acura looks great. But is underpowered. Should have 400hp to compete
Most ovens are electric, Tommy!
Mustang is faster and better
I think I would daily drive the TLX in that Sport S mode.
The new TLX Type S has launch control, and you should try it
"Dad, what if you had a family and a dog? Your wife wouldn't let you have that car." Roman owns the Mustang and a dog and is still married. TFL gets stupider with each video.
Mustang over Acura any day!
TLX types? now, How much is a BMW 3 series?
Mustang GT
Mustang sounds so good.
How about a 500 mile race with the Acura and Tesla
The acura is so close to perfect. I cannot believe hondaacura still puts a timing belt on their v6 engines. That removes them from something I would evn consider immediately.
$24K for a 2014 Mustang seems high.
Imagine buying a 6 second 0-60 car after beating it off for 10 minutes, only to get your cheeks clapped by a golf cart making fart noises in the speakers.
