This is the first video of my first YT project. The idea is to build in my spare time a raceweek car, I have the body, 1987 T-top must LX. I bought a burnt up old grudge racer mustang that I salvaged a 347 stroker, BW T5 trans, & a posi 8.8 rear. I’ve had 14 or 15 mustangs in my life and three currently for builds. I am by NO MEANS A MECHANIC but I grew up a car guy from a car family and I’ve always been broke so if something broke or you wanted to go faster (which usually led to things breaking) you had to know how to fix it. I do NOT plan on subbing anything out, I plan on doing every single thing on this car. That being said it will not have full interior and I will be doing all of this on an insanely small budget but I just built my carport into a garage with almost nothing and I’ve spent some last years collecting parts and tools to minimize the money spent at build time. A lot of my tools (especially some bigger ones) are second hand or borrowed from my dad’s garage. The goal is to build a 700 hp daily driver with an ethanol, twin turbo, 347 that’s going to be comfortable enough for raceweek but something that will finish a race week. Much like the 347, the turbos I’ll find will be used, abused, and in need of a rebuild because paying even $3, each is NOT an option. It’s going to be a miracle to get everything I want in the car right away but that’s the basics. Yeehaw folks, hopefully my next vids will be a little longer and if I’m wrong about something or a name PLEASE teach me, don’t berate me. I just want to prove that an idiot with wrenches and damn near no money can do some great things too. Don’t trust me, just give me a grace period.
