FAILED FIRST DRIVE With A Side Of Break Up Brake Job – 1956 Chevy Wagon JUNK

Well just another day over at DD Speed Shop. We work hard but still move 2 steps forward and 1 step backward.

Today we do the final install of the rear end and replace EVERY SINGLE piece of the rear brakes. This water logged differential ended up being a lot of work over all.

With the rear end sorted out I moved my attention up front. A little wiring under the hood and transmission cooler where needed before the first drive down the road.

With the car back on the ground we went for a ride around the block with limited success….

  1. For the future when removing the E brake cable from the backing plate you can slide a ring spanner down past the spring and it will push the locks out of the way and you can remove the cable easy peasy.

  2. Hi Dan love your videos . The drain plug on your fuel tank is like the one on my 1950 Willys Jeep. I put a copper washer to seal it same type used on calipers . Without it it still seeped. Hope it works for your tank also.
