Today on Unity Motorsports Garage we are doing a 4150 Carb Dragstrip throwdown @EdelbrockUSA VRS 4150 vs Holley HP 4150
Micah and I take “Clark” the 1984 Mercury Marquis WAGON with a Carbed / Nitrous 4.6 Ford 2V Mod Motor to Shadyside Dragway to do a back to back test on the same day!

  1. Hey Andy, did I miss where you said what size that VRS carb is?
    I'm wondering if the throttle bore and venturi are different vs the 950. It could explain some of the low end torque but no doubt the annualar booster accounts for some of it.

  2. Probably making more average power but not necessarily more peak. Considering it’s a box carb vs one with loads of tinkering it’s impressive to even be close.

  3. I would have to say Elderbrock did thier homework for shure. Back in the day Brasswell fixed alot of the Holley problems and sold alot of them. Later Holley sued him. I heard the facts from one of a retired Holley engineers on DragBoss Garage.
