In this, episode 109 of Powertec 10, DV and Andy Wood, Take the Powertec 10 Ecoboost Mustang to the track to test the new wheel/tire and diff housing bushes to see if theory is a match for reality. The results were nothing short of outstanding!

Love that look of determination and focus at 13:56. Sandbag any teenager at a traffic light without blinking: "like the exhaust? Hope its not too loud…" haha
The Silent Shetland strikes again.
So What's The Distance You Are Running. Must Be 1/8 Mile Not 1/4 Mile Right
E85 tune will really wake it up
I really like the methodical approach your doing on this Pony project.
Dad had a friend that he said was the smartest man he knew. Don was the western Canada rep for Sunnen, a journeyman mechanic and held a racing licence.
He told me you can drive faster without attracting police attention by having quiet exhaust.
We learned that DV is a real wheel man . The guy can drive!
You could call prow homes
Love my '21 gt 6 speed. Was really happy to see you get an ecoboost. I want to see what you can get out of it!
Is David saying that those rigid red race bushings rattle your rectum? Is it breaktime yet?
Be interesting to see if the throttle body is a restriction and you guy's can bench flow it because you have the tools. if you have the cold side off for the intercooler you, might as well look for any standard OEM restrictions.
Thank you so much for this.
Lessons learned herein are universally applicable.
Well Done.
So are you racing on a 1/8 mile or a 1/4 mile
Looks like you guys had a lot of fun! Regarding the intercooler heat-soak, I'm willing to bet a fan on the stock unit will do the trick. I did that with my Jetta, and it completely eliminated the intercooler heat-soak.
Wow David you have a great foot there you came off the really nice and fast great job.
When you commented on how quiet the car is, took me back to the street legal exhaust episode you did. How does a turbo placement effect collector length and resonators?
What would 8.50 be equal to in the quarter mile?
,,, two vids, in one, ,,, ?
Your spot on with reflashing the computer tune. It’s programed for crappy gas, 91 octane California gas with error. So a better tune with more timing will get you into the 12’s. Even better a can of torco octane booster mixed with premium non ethanol boat gas. But race gas would be best.
Not sure if this car is a multi fuel car, but e85 would need an upgrade in fuel system to keep up with higher horsepower modifications demands, would it not? Anyway I don’t believe the stock tune lets the turbo spool up 22psi although it is capable.
Since you are going to make it a circuit racer anyway would it be worth investigating if there is any effect on grip of a stiffer sway bar. Or a lighter one for that matter.
You can unlock the line lock on eco boost and v-6 mustangs. I did on mine.
"I'll take his head off at the tree cuz that's what I do"
good video, but the audio was substandard.
Loving the new intro song DV.
I like the name Whispering Stallion, as I have raised many thorobreds. You and Andy make one helluva team!
As far as street tires, I ran 225R 70/15 on a 70 Caprice. 400sbc with a Crane HMV272-2. Eldobrock CP3X and Holley spead bore, 1 inch adapter with improvised divider. She was illegal for NHRA tracks. No cage or C clip eliminaters. The date of her is 09-69. I removed her hub caps and fender skirts for any run. To keep her legal for NHRA tracks I would 'slack' the throttle linkage. She would still carry the left front tire a bit past 60ft. Fell down at 330ft to stay legal.
Crane/Cam Dynamics is dead. Who has the profiles? I need help because I know what I need to build more cams that can twist a driveshaft and twist a frame.
Mikel
Pretty impressive!
