  1. Is that the same Studebaker that was all black for years? Either way it’s heartbreaking to see two beautiful cars mangled. But the positive outlook is the cars did their job and saved their drivers lives

  2. I'm not going to sugarcoat it the guy in the Chevelle is an idiot who should not be driving anything remotely that fast as soon as he noticed he lost the race he should have got out of it he stayed in it way past the finish then tried to break dudes a moron

  3. From Leo: Wow, what a sad day. It is good that they both walked away and will race another day. Not real easy to find Studebaker bodies to replace that one.

  4. Is there insurance for this kind of incident or does the driver man up and pay for the damages I’m just curious? I know it is racing but if I caused it I would pay for it

  5. wow the whole front ripped off that car. that is hard to believe. to me something wasnt welded or designed correctly. im not an expert on building cages, just observing the carnage.. sucks for both teams… glad they walked away.

  6. Looks like the Chevelle dude piled up some task-saturation in his brain real fast with that apparent stuck throttle. Too bad for the Hemi-baker, looks (looked) like a beautiful machine.

  7. OK, stupid question: Like, who pays for the damage? These are expensive machines and one guy clearly hit the other. I'm doubting there's "insurance" (other than sponsors- but there's no big logos so I'm guessing no sponsors), so does each owner just shrug and go his own way with a 100k worth of damage????
