Kennon is a legit friend. Props.
To Kennan’s point about restoration, it’s the Ship of Theseus question. If you restore the car and replace everything over time is it still the same car?
I betDoug's Lambo probably has a Blaupunkt stereo with a Maxell tape in the deck.
A cool feature in electric cars would be to change the sound depending on V8, V12, plus turbo or super charger…
What is the most affordable vehicle with good highway self driving tech. New or used.
I would say I want an Ioniq N but I feel like it could be better. I have been asking for this since before Tesla existed.
There is no reason there can't be a clutch pedal and a gear shifter, and there should be an open source audio files of what engine sound you want. Even if you could do custom torque curves to simulate turbos/ you could simulate a number of engine sounds/ vibrations could be simulated with subwoofers. It would be seriously fun.
24:48 I too can identify every car by its headlights or taillights. New or old, any make and model. I can get the era/generation of age for the most part, but not the exact year since one generation spanning many years will look basically the same.
Why is Kennan 'petting' the ribbon for the entire video like it's his pet cat?
We own a legacy- they are common in middle America.
Sorry to jump in Kennan, but I believe the previous title sponsor was Mission Winnow, not win now (as you say, associated w Phillip Morris Int.). And I think the blue is a heritage nod to old ferraris, I think I heard Vasseur saying something about how ferrari is not only red, but also blue.
Haven’t finished the video yet but please talk about the RAM RHO, the baby TRX
Emily must have been so upset that Kenan decided to prepare Doug's Countach over coming home to her.
Ferrari sold thier soul with hp for the Miami race by changing the colors of the F1 car
Kennan is more of a…..behind the scenes guy…maybe? probably? Thanks
Doug I'd like to see other guests. We need someone who can challenge or match you on your car nerdiness. Give me a call I'm free on Fridays.
Doug, the kind of guy who says he wants an iconic car in his garage about which he can say, “I can’t believe I own this car”…. After SELLING his Audi RS2 wagon! #smh
Can you talk about the new Aston Dbx 707? With the new interior?
Fillipo is WRONG! The Volvo XC60 T6 has a 2.0 L, 4-cylinder, inline engine with a turbocharger and supercharger. The 2022 model has a combined power of 350 horsepower, with 253 horsepower from the petrol engine and 145 horsepower from the electric motor. The 2021 model has 316 horsepower at 5,700 rpm. The T6 engine is part of the Volvo Cars Drive-E family of propulsion systems, which are designed to be efficient and environmentally friendly.
N comes after M. Head of BMW M went Hyundai to found N
I hate that sedans are disappearing. As someone who hates SUVs and crossovers, we are really losing choices when it comes to a good or fun sedan
I like to hear your guys' take on the latest in automotive. It's a departure from my perspective so I appreciate your input.
my 16 year old is getting a ford mavrick base
his argument for nissan sounds like nissan doesnt need to exist. Just do what toyota is doing is pointless.
38:02 I do like that Doug and Kennan can at least joke about being technical. You guys better stop at the tool store first to buy some box wrenches for that auto manual swap. ha ha jk peace and love I love this podcast
Scottie K is like Klick and Klack the tappet brothers
I enjoy how they dissed Scotty and followed it up by praising a number of Toyota and Lexus models for the next five minutes.
-Scotty fan AND car enthusiast
Mazda needs the Ionic 5n mode for there future sports car.
Kenan’s theory makes me sad: I am destined to be into Chrysler minivan and baby blue late 80’s crown Vic, and dented up farm trucks.
The best first car for a teen on the planet is a Kia Soul. Incredible visibility, so light and easy to drive
Doug is 100% correct about running boards
Can we just get rid of the autistic guy who knows nothing about cars please? He's doing a 1:1 for a MK4 Supra and a Camry Coupe?!?
g580 w/ eq technology is horrible
Kennan, get a Cayman. S, GTS, GT4, any. You'll love it. I got an '07 987S and it is sublime. The 981 is said to have the worst steering feel but I haven't driven that generation.
$100 per hrpr taxes included or excluded?
You just have to think of Scotty Kilmer as your crazy mechanic uncle. take everything with a tablespoon of salt.
Doug, love the pod, but you've got to keep a lid on your geographical bias. Here in New England hill country, there are at least ten Legacies in every shopping center parking lot, and you can go ten months without seeing a single Charger.
Pour one out for whoever totaled their black Ferrari F355 last night in Edmond Oklahoma
My first car in 1992 was a 1973 Fiat 850. My friend bought the same one. We discovered Abarth. We started to visit every scrapyard we could find to see if there was any Fiat 850 or Fiat 600 there with some Abarth parts. And we would find a lot. Enough to build ourselves Abarth versions of our Fiat 850s. I remember my 1000cc engine would rev to 12.000 rpm and scare the living daylight out of any BMW 325 at the lights. Later we moved on to Lancia Betas, Deltas, Fiat Uno Turbo, Fiat Spiders and eventually the Lanicias, Fiats and Alfas from the 60s. Since a young age, I have been into cars, and I am a walking encyclopedia when it comes to cars form all over the world.
But the Fiat 850 I bought when I was 18 in 1992 was bought purely because it was cheap. I dreamed about an early 80s 3-series BMW, but I didn't have the money.
Today I love cars from Italy. And still own some of them. And my daily driver is a first-generation Fiat Multipla.
