I believe that tank is salvageable.. A good flushing and cleaning and some new grommets for vent hose connections and possibly some new hoses and filter. Good to go.
Before I pulled the tank I would have used a load substitution like a headlight bulb and did voltage drop on the circuit

The ROVs on that tank are not welded. You can order the rov and grommet kit for around $40 to fix the issue without replacing the tank. Most replament tanks don't include them.
I suspected that was the problem when you first described the way it was acting because I’ve been there done that. I’d put in new tank, hoses, another inline fuel filter.

When i run low on gas i alway wait for a few minute before filling to be sure pump not too hot.. well it just me.. i sold auto parts and heavy equipment parts ror 23 years..

Nice vid as always, Ray. Just a thought, next time you pull a short wheel base vehicle in your lift, you may try moving both lift arms to the rear before you pull into the lift area. Then you can swing them both under the vehicle at the same time. Of course, I'm not familiar with your particular lift so possibly yours may not leave enough room between. Have a great day.

Well beg to differ guys but men stop growing usually between 18-20 years old, but some continue to grow into early 20's but really determined by the age of puberty as growth plates bond after puberty and then growth stops. Here endeth the lesson.

Hey, you inside window anchors are missing (the inside plates that keep the windshield from folding down) Yeah, I know the bars from the rear sport bar that connect to the top of the windshield are in place but the lower plates should be there. Not trying to sell you, used only for example, See Smittybilt 7408. Stay safe.
Yeah in this case a used/salvaged non-damaged tank that is clean would be a good replacement. Unless its cheaper or close enough to get the tank and stuff attached new than just getting the stuff alone. Seen that stuff happen before. The fair bit of gas in the tank is atleast saveable if ran through a few filters.
With a Jeep you need to stop looking and it will be just "FINE"
