  1. It's a mass produced $150k Dodge…..the carmaker that betrayed consumers, sold out to Stellantis and capitulated to the government. They don't really have the pedigree or reputation to bring big money in.

  2. Wow, that Demon 170 auction price is CRAZY! Love that it's going to charity, but oof those dealer markups are toast. Guess I gotta hold out for a fire sale now! Great call on the $150k prediction, TK!

  3. Nobody wants the cars. And I've been saying this for a second. The Red Eye is better then the Demon. It goes 149 mph. Which sucks. That was it after that was announced. People that can afford it arent buying it. There are just much better cars then a Dodge demon for100k. Thats to much in my opinion. Dodge makes cars that fall apart at the seems in 2 years.. I've had 3. I'm not talking just to talk. Ill never buy another Dodge. Not from Dodge. Maybe ill buy a hellcat second hand and just build it from then. But then i can get it for 50 to 70k. Mark ups killed the brand along with stellantis. And now it's coming back to bite them. And i hope people hold fast. People that initially paid anything over sticker ruined it for everybody. Simply because they saw a bunch of fools with money. And now they think theres still a bunch of those fools left. No they paid you already. Only guys left are smart buyers. Buyers that will literally wait for your company to collapse before they buy over prices junk. I work to hard. Not paying 150k for a Dodge. Not me

  4. Laughing watching this happen because people bought way too high, then credit crunch & inflation, flat economy…now the dealers are going to get stuck

  5. Dodge was only popular because they was cheap and hood dudes could afford them .. now that they are priced like other sports cars they won’t sell they aren’t really fast and can’t beat anything just good for sliding and the hood v8 sound ..

  6. I remember around 2012-13 when ford came out with the 302 boss again people were paying 8-10K over MSRP because everyone thought they would be worth a million dollars in 10 years. Here we are in 2024 and you can get them a dime a dozen on autotrader for $25,000. There will never be a muscle car era again because that time has come and gone. Sure there will be cars that retain value, but never high production cars again. That time has come and gone, now you just have the ultra rich passing around garage queens and a dude that's working class is out.

  7. Look people are the only ones to blame. I hope you all loose your shirts
Look at thr economy ffs. Lots of repos in the near future. As for waiting 30 years with no GASOLINE it is junk, and mother nature will take it back.
A car is only worth what a stupid person is willing to pay for it.

  8. Guys it’s not the dealers. Stop blaming dealers. It’s the market. Used cars depreciation is high because cars aren’t moving for anyone. It’s a reversal of 3 years ago cars one went over sticker now cars are going below sticker and they still can’t move them. One the average rate is 8 percent. Dealers also have money to hold inventory as fleet sales are good still! Try to trade your car in you won’t get anything for it anymore no matter the brand.

  9. the true market value of that car is NOT $152k. There was an element of "charity" overpayment by the buyer that can't be realistically quantified without asking them.

  10. Stellantis going woke; slant 6 or EV Koolaid, what a deal. Democrats are the more money than brains crowd. Sam’s club has Vaseline in bulk for anyone heading to these dealers.

  11. So this car basically sold for market value in my opinion. With that said if this was truly a charity car it should have sold for nearly 400k. Usually you see charity cars go for stupid money.

  12. Have had 6sp 3.91axle Procharged 5.7 for years as my sunny day cruiser. Anyone whos not spoiled on Hellcat power would be happy with any of the plentiful barely used v8 Challys on the used market if you dont care for tech. Take your pick. For the record my blown 5.7 car breathing through SLP Loudmouth delivers an agry small block Hemi scream that's to me audible ecstasy that the big blocks just dont do. Sounds like it's turning 8k, but it's not, akin to the Coyote. A manual 5.7 and the turbo like Procharger go together like the K20Z3 and VTEC, or Keith Richards and heroine, low boost aside. Still quicker on a roll than a 392 CHarger. It's enough.

  13. Although I will never buy a mpar again, my daughter still likes jeeps like wagoneers, but not the original prices. She wanted a 2022 with 5 7 engine. So we found a corporate executive model fully loaded not a buy back that listed for 92k . So we waited with a bid in for several weeks until he decided to get rid of it. So the dealers are finding out how thin the ice is( on sink or swim )

  14. Dealerships think they are sitting on gold, people have short attention spans . The trend of owning one of these cars will fade .Then the dealers will unload at reasonable prices.

  15. I have to disagree. The car in question was a used Demon 170 with a bad story. The auction was tiny. No one was hardly there. Let's tell the truth. Can anyone show me a Demon 170 for Msrp, $10K, or even $20K over? I'll be a second one if so.
