Converting This 80s Built Ford Mustang Drag Car From STRIP To STREET For Route 66! | Part 1 of 2

A guy bought a 80s build Ford Mustang II, which is a bracket drag car. My son and I flew to Tucson Dragway, In Tucson, AZ, to attempt to drive this car more than 1,800 miles back home! The first step is converting this car from track ready, to street ready. Will it run and drive on the street well? Let’s find out! The WINNER Of the Ford F100 is also announced within this video!

  1. Did an oil change yesterday, 4 qt of 15-40 Rotella HD diesel oil, qt of Hyper Lube, 16oz of Marvel Mystery oil, don’t ask me what’s in it, it’s a mystery, run the same in my bus (C7 Cat) ‘19 explorer, ‘07 F150, and my 86 FXR.

  2. Why not clean off the trans dipstick and toss it down the oil tube just to see if there’s any juice down there at all.. if it’ll fit

  3. Derek a friend of mine told me about your channel i absolutely love it been watching for a year and i think its so awesome you have your sons involved in what you do its a great learning experience for them . im guessing by Bailey's response about the mustang he's a chevy guy . im a chevy guy but i do love ford maverick and mustang 2's

  4. If I remember correctly, I didn't see any windshield wipers on the 'Stand, so hopefully you're sailing on some good weather conditions Derek! Looking forward to the ride home, as the noise and basically no suspension to speak of for a soft ride, it should be interesting!
