This is such an example of the sportsmanship typically exemplified in drag racing. Just a couple days ago Rick Prospero (owner/driver of the green RX-7) came over to Cleetus’ put and offered to provide tuning assistance to Cleetus. Rick clearly knew the potential of the car yet offered his unsolicited help. And sure enough Cleetus makes it to the final where he beats Prospero.
Yeeeeeeàaaa el camino my cars is one el camino 77 look 73 one v8 383 strokeur chevy compresseur wieland boite 350 th et 580 hoseepower the problem no greap serious boys is one systhem for the greap fors my cars please boys
Crazy thing is a lot of cars going that fast are on pro mod chassis. Tom Bailey, Steve Morris to name a few. But that is an actual el Camino with a tube front. Simply mind blowing. Granted he got a SM BB in it but still a el Camino. with a small tire too!! Incredible!!
Mullet finally broke out and killed the 6 second / mph run of Garrett's life so far. That was one hell of a race. The RX-7 got him on the tree but Cleetus drove around him. I was also proud of LS George for taking the 9.5 class. I believe that was George's first "First Place W" in his life. Rocky has come along way. McFarland Racing is bad ass!
