Our man Kiwi had this beautifully restored 70 Challenger T/A dropped off at his shop for some minor work, so we took the opportunity to walk around this jewel to point out some of the things that made these cars some of the most unique and little understood cars of the classic Mopar era.

The first gen Dodge viper!
69 El Camino 396 came with sid exhaust. My 97 Ford F150 4.2 V6 came with side exhaust.
Did they move the antenna to the back due to the static noise from the spark plug wires?
So this is nothing bad to say about uncle Tony, but a guy who was an editor for Mopar Action comes to my home in PA to buy an X block, and some W2 heads, and while I was taking care of my wife who had M.S., they loaded their pick up and cleaned my garage out, than headed back to Passaic N.J. . This is when I was attempting to be the first person to ever install a gen III hemi in a muscle car. Not only in a muscle car, but in a body in white 1969 Barracuda register with the Walter p Chrysler museum, that was previously owned by riddler award winner Rob Ida.
I was told the T/A/ AAR cuda had the antenna in the rear because the fiberglass fender ( which it never came with, somehow blocked any radio reception. I was told that back in the 1980's by Jim the parts guy ( can't recall his name) who worked for Dave Ferro. While I was building my 430 stroker T/A that had a shaker, because the correct hood I couldn't find.
THANK YOU ! ! ! My Favorite car of ALL TIME ! ! !
Love that car. But… you ain't lived until you've daily driven a '70 Challenger Slant Six 3-speed through an Ohio winter. Woo, boy!
They would fold the fender tags up and get some paint underneath them and then stitch the other side down.
Nice car, good video, no politics and no EV bashing.
Uncle Tony, a Man of Constant Mopar
Great car and a lot of information from UTG. What I don't understand is the guy that owns the car for lots of years, but still can't change a water pump? Might understand if some rich dude bought it a Barret Jackson's and doesn't know a crescent wrench from a vice grip.
It was painted with one screw in and folded up to paint underneath. The non-painted screw is then added to fully secure the tag. Or tags in this case.
Beautiful car! Someday, when I become king of the world, I want one.
Does Kiwi remind anyone else of Big Les? Hahaha!
One other car came with staggered tires and its the Grand Prix GXP from Pontiac…My son has one…but the crazy thing is the front tires are wider than the back ones because it's an LS4 v8 with front wheel drive
The antenna in the rear was because of radio interference as a result of the fiberglass hood
a lot of good info UT! Don’t forget the adjustable rocker arms that were unique to the 340 Six pack cars.
That is nearly spotless. Damn.
Thanks Kiwi !
They move the antena to the, because the fiberglass hood cause radio noise.
