Ya buddy
Man I'm loving this content nothings more satisfying than watching a fresh motor go together, can't wait for the announcement of what it's going in and to hear it fire up!
Love it when a plan comes together, looking forward to see what kinda numbers this stroker makes
Heck yea! I believe I will start saving for a similar build very soon. I cant wait to hear this one run. And if I know you Id bet we will get to see how it runs down the strip as well!
Hell Yeah
I absolutely love this build… the regular street rod guy could build… good job
I cant get enough of this Small Block Ford content!! Keep grinding and shining homie!
Do you remember what the bobweight was ?, just curious
Great video neo.. I've learned a lot..
Dig the build videos. Info is great but hands on is way mo betta
Do you put any lube on the main cap bolts when installing or go dry?
King bearing is cheap but its a good good bearing .. i have a set in a 1976 460 that i have in my 77 f100 swb … the motor has a stock bottom end cam intake and headders on a 175 shot of nitrous .. its backed by a Zf5 5 soeed transmission … i have abused the motor ive missed gears on nitrous ive seen m tach come from above 7000 rpms when i mised a gear .. ive done burn outs ive gave the ole truck a hard time ..(a really hard time !!!) and the bottom end is just as healthy as the day i first got done with it and fired it up … so dont think since they are cheap they are cheap made ive had my 460 together for almost 4 years so far !!!
Can you clarify exactly what was clearanced to make these exact parts fit?
Was that block decked
Awesome
My grandpa gave me a 351w last year after he got it machined on and gave me everything with it, i’m gonna buy a fox body soon and put it in there. I’m also gonna put a different cam in it before i do though
im waiting to see for this little mouse, is close, good job
Will explorer pistons work?
Wonder how the piston to valve clearance will be with the small notches in the TRW factory pistons and I assume 2.02 intake valves.
Man love this content, nothing like like budget build of a small block pushrod Ford motor, this thing will be awesome. Kick the the crap out of those bowties for sure.
Not trying to cut but why the rods blued ? That from installing the pistons on the rods?
Love it!
I’d be interested to see what it would do on a dyno.
Great video Brother!! I always learn a lot from your content! Keep it coming…
Pretty cool build. I have stock length 351w Eagle h beams and a 351w roller block. If I buy a similar crank and +.030 floating pin 302 pistons will that work or would I be much better with a 408 and all new parts? I need a crank anyway so wasn’t sure if buying new pistons would be worth while
OG hot rodding in full effect.
I just did this to my 347, and did my own cam bearing
Since when is king bearings budget sir
I agree 100% about the cast crank. I’ve had guys turn their noses up at the cast crank I had in my 347. The motor was NA and wasn’t making over 500hp. I didn’t plan to boost it, so why pay for a forged crank? Just because you don’t build a motor to handle 1000hp doesn’t mean it’s garbage. Love this build. Didn’t even know it was a thing.
Totally worth it
Guys you have given me some ideas for a budget dirt track motor. Thanks
Nice to see consistent progress on this! It’s definitely giving me some ideas for my fox
Hey man! Just curious what do you use to heat your workspace in winter? My new house will have a similar size garage and all it has is a wood burning stove. Tia
Curious to see this on a dyno. Might be an interesting build for a truck considering the stroke should lower the torque curve a bit.
So when this is done will you be releasing a tech sheet/ aka parts lists, costs and things we can and cannot do as a backyard builder?
Good stuff!
Did you use 351 flywheel and dampner? 28oz or 50oz unbalance?
