Bronco, FJ40, Rivian, and Jeeps Driving in Deep Snow | Oregon Backcountry

We drove a Ford Bronco, FJ40, Rivian and two Jeeps through deep snow in Oregon backcountry. We were on Lolo Pass at the base of Mount Hood and got the first tracks of the day. The snow was a few feet deep and we took turns breaking the trail with each vehicle. This was a well needed 4X4 wheeling adventure which showcases the amazing ability of all these unique vehicles in the snow.

Every vehicle performed well and was able to make it off the trail in one piece. The 2023 Rivian R1T surprised us with it’s high level of clearance and ability to slide over obstacles. It did get stuck at one point but luckily the FJ40 had a winch equipped and was able to quickly solve the problem.

The Metal Tech 4×4 Ford Bronco performed great with the 37″ Falcon Tires and Dual Radflo Coilovers we had equipped. Also showcased are the new 4 Door Frame Mounted Sliders that we released earlier this year as well as our Front Winch Mount Bumper and Rear Swing Out Bumper which are currently in the works.

The classic FJ40 might have been the most capable out of all these vehicles! Let us know what you think in the comments!

  1. Is the Rivian street legal, did he build it in his garage….. Seriously, how can a cop be that uneducated about whats on the roads and that he is ticketing. Sad.
