Alanis, Elizabeth, and Nolan talk about everything that’s happened this week in Formula One (and it’s a lot!) like the La$$$ Vega$$$ Grand Prix, rumors that Daniel Ricciardo might be going back to his ex (Red Bull), and Pierre Gasly’s superlicence woes. Then they recap the weekend of the Brazilian Grand Prix, where Haas & K-Mag experienced a full spectrum of emotions, there were collisions and comebacks aplenty, and Mercedes’s prefect George Russell won his first Grand Prix in F1! Then they get into the controversial radio call that pinned champion Max Verstappen against loyal RB teammate Sergio Perez… an event that could only be made worse by Max’s mother’s social media commentary. CAN YOU BELIEVE THERE’S ONLY ONE RACE LEFT?!?!

  1. This is the 1st time for me listening to this podcast. I have listened to about 1/3 of the past gas episodes and I really liked those as well. This is such a great addition to my F1 life, thank for doing this, keep it up.

  2. Max is legal to get alongside Hamilton no matter w/e his gap relative to Hamilton in front. He was right to get alongside Hamilton coming to corner entry turn 2 no matter whether he was 0.3 s behind or 3 cars length behind before as long as he could still get alongside Hamilton. What the rule of overtaking doesn't state is in what way the overtaking car isn't allowed to get alongside with the car being overtaken. However, what is coming next should be also the picture. What Max did wasn't about to make the corner, but to go straight from apex to apex pretended Hamilton wasn't there on the outside. It means he would have done the overtaking maneuver unsafely. The rule says an overtaking must be done safely. You can't out brake yourself to win a battle by compromising and even endangering other by using your car as a weapon.
The stewards saw Max was in guilty in this incident even Lewis give him space. Max wouldn't be able to make the overtaking maneuver SAFELY because he carrying too much excessive space relative to Hamilton.
