I’m attempting to get the Independence Chevelle (1972 Chevrolet Chevelle), patched up for one last burnout competition at the freedom factory. My tools? Fork lift and ramp truck.

  1. Ethan and Simon sniggering and laughing together like two naughty kids at the back of the class is my favourite part of this video. I love how you can put any two of the Sidemen together and theyre just instantly hilarious because theyre all genuinely such good friends. O:-) :/

  2. It's been a bunch of years now, and I still haven't played FNAF more than the first night of the first game (i'll try it again with FNAF+), but watching you and the whole theorist team is amazing!

  3. Ok just my opinion…body off or what's left of it and slide in a newish frame???? Then retire her to special events and drive her to church on Sunday just a thought.

  4. Alot of us here consider you family (like it or not cousin eddie). You've more than honored this chevelle so anything you do with this in the future will be accepted with arms wide open

  5. Literally brought me to tears .But understand. I have loved the journey and symbolism of this car. not sure if I'll finish the video. Guess it's just what it is. It's become such a symbol of everything I love.

  6. Personally, I would restore the whole thing. Get all of the info you can on the car with pics and videos and display all of its antics with it fully restored. Take pictures of all the decals and have them remade to reapply once the restoration is complete and make it 100% a show car. Thats just me though.

  7. That's alot of damage my friend, and not to mention very unsafe, to be honest I've been with you sense you first got this car and if iam not mistaken I think it was my 3rd video I seen in your channel, the truth of the fact is I know how much you love this car it's been a long ride alot of fun with this car and I hate to see it just go away ,me personally when I fall in love with a car I don't care how much I spend on the car, is a big decision you gotta make and iam not going to comment on what you should do, iam staying away from this one. I hope you make the best decision and good luck my friend.

  8. I can't believe you fixed her up you are right that car doesn't give up good job iam pretty sure your happy it wasn't that much of a pain in the rear. good job dude you made it happen.

  9. Maybe instead of repro sheet metal, you could find some panels off of another car that's unsaveable and replace just the absolute bare minimum of floors and rockers and mounts, the structural parts, to make Independence a little more solid without replacing the whole body. Not even necessarily good panels, just bits that are less garbage than what's there. Then maybe Independence won't be on the verge of falling apart and parts of another classic get to keep going.

  10. I see why you're at a crossroads with what to do with her. But I would say it's probably a go all the way or let it sit. It's going to get to a point where it needs to be safe structurally. But I think personally with the channel a rebuild and resto would do her justice. She's already come a long way, and can't forget that these days the paintwork guys are something else. I'm sure someone would be willing to bring back a new patina style of the original paint job, but one that will actually last, and the car can be around for another 50+ years. But again she can serve a new purpose with some new life in her for a much longer time, with just enough of the original old gal still there.

  11. I don't know about everyone else. But I for one, would love to see the Independence with a full restoral. I think it would show the 9/11 folks, and previous owners that the memory of that day will live on. Shows resilience. Thanks Derek for the great content.
