The hurricane sand dunes (sand hollow) used to be much bigger before the manmade lake was there. All the sand blows into the water never to return when the winds change in the fall. So the dunes are getting smaller every year and making more rock formations appear! Its a cool place but the lake ruined the dunes. Ever notice that the lake has no inlet or outlet? It's piped in from the reservoir across the highway (quail creek) we've probably lost 30-40% of the dunes in the last 20 years.

My wife chose to get up early, mind you the predicted temp at 7am will be in the thirties, ride 2hrs on the back trail from Pine Valley to Sand Hollow approximately 45 miles, in our RMAX2.
Wednesday the 18th is her birthday. Is that not neat that that's what the wife chooses to do for her birthday?
