  1. Axman traps about 200 mph but he can't compete against the cars in NPK?!?! He almost had one NPK event imho (I feel like he was unstoppable that night), he's #3 or better on America's list…….C'mon Axman, is there something else that you're not telling us? $40,000 isn't enough incentive to race NPK and let Memphis do their own thing for the weekend?

  2. I have newer understood the finances past hobby racing. Invest 1/4 M or more on car then 10K or more at each race for up to $100 K prize money. As i understand only one winner. It just doesn't add up. What we don't know is how much sponsors are forking out to these racers. JMO

  3. He's the fastest on the street at the moment and there's definitely something to be said for that but there's also something to be said for being the fastest at NPK. That said, I think everyone in the top ten or so deserve to make something. Whoever arranged the series is making a killing paying one guy $40k at each event. I spent $105.00 for two to get in at Ennis, get one drink a corn dog and philly cheese steak sandwich.

  4. Say what ya want but NPK is fast getting away from grass roots street drag racing which is what it started as to simulate. Now it might as well fall under NHRA. Untill it changes too, I'll stick with Street Outlaws actually on the street. Now, If NPK would go "Back half" of the track then i'd get real interested.

  5. NPK is getting to be like nascar .big money dominates the sport, this will be the same thing that happens to NPK also. He seems to be having more fun with the JJ and running the streets. Love the Axman

  6. The only sport left NOT subsidized by American tax dollars! You have to work be willing to be in debt and let it be your addiction to be a racecar driver. Most of the guys who always claimed to have always been and will always be street have left the street for sponsor money, sponsor price cuts and youtube or tv paychecks and those who haven't can't afford to quit their jobs to make and participate in nothing more than a NHRA style division in motorsports . NPK is big money sponsored and promoted and makes millions for themselves off of racer , media participation. Take away all the shows and social media and almost ALL the known racers go away!

  7. It is a lot of money I Talked to Doc for 45 minutes at NO Prep kings. He said in Just the hauler. He was 40 grand in fuel this year. Yeah he gets 20 grand a race. Because it is a show they are filming. But he said the expense is outrageous.

  8. NPK exists because Discovery tracked down a bunch of street racers one of them heard about. The technology/money progression is inevitable when you're competing in the regular TV, prime time game. The audience wants to see "more of that" each successive season. NPK is a victim of it's own success.

  9. It isn't about the money!!! He knew he'd get his head "chopped off" at NPK and that he couldn't hide in the RV and still win the event.. Besides the fact that he loves all the bullshit drama and games down in Memphis but NPK don't play like that. Shut up and race!!

  10. Not one of street outlaws can bet (Marcus birt) a radial vs the world car small tire radial with no wheelie bars allowed and it's a pat musi powered car 3.57 at 206 on small radials. Ryan Martin raced in some running a 3.80

  11. Did the rule changes impact you that you decided it was not worthwhile, Larry Larson S10 was at the top until rule changes and now in a Caddy. 2 types of fuels in your car
