  1. i can think of a third possibility – the judge says "the thing i said about mudsling wasn't directed at him. when he asked if the thing i said was about him and i said yes, i wasn't referring to that thing i said, i was talking about something else."

  2. It seems foolish and possibly baiting to be placing a sign in your lawn knowing that you will be representing clients in front of that judge. I'm not saying its illegal i do believe its protected by the first amendment. However legal doesn't always mean prudent.

  3. ANYONE in office who thinks he deserves that office is unfit. And yes, that actually disqualifies the vast majority of current office holders but it doesn't make it untrue.

  4. From having lived in Europe for years, I found that people there are appalled that the US has elected judges. To them it would be like having elected air traffic controllers. Judges there are technicians of the highest caliber after long years of training and experience.

  5. One reason I don't care for judicial systems in which judges are elected. I prefer the system in which judges are appointed and then retained through voting at "electionc time.

  6. I don't understand how 7 days is a punishment to some in the position of a judge. I would argue that this slap on the wrist MUST be a bigger injustice than what he actually did. A panel of judges letting a colleague off without punishment, and 7 days is not a punishment, is ridiculous. But we all know that judges are nearly beyond reproach so what can we do?

  7. Suspending judges shouldn't even be an option. If they've committed misconduct of any kind, they should be prohibited from ever serving as a judge ever again.

  8. The "witnesses" now are going to sit back and think…..what are the chances that not only is the judge going to be found "guilty" but that he will not be back on the bench in 30 days overseeing MY cases. If they have fear of that, a simple "I don't recall" will take care of it.

  9. The judge "may have" 'doxxed' the address to find out who lived at the address where the yard sign was! Or, doxxed the attorney's address, or a bit of both!!! Not sure if 'doxxing' is illegal in that city &/or state!!! But, it's still an abuse of power & authority, BECAUSE it's not about any outstanding court case (why would it be)!!!! If the judge took it (effort to find out addressee of the house in question) that far, & actually used his position to find out…!! He adused his office, it's authority, & his job to find out who's address it was!!! The very fact that he openly called out the attorney, as the homeowner in question, proves that he did willfully abuse his job, & its authority!!! It all depends on witnesses!!!

  10. You also realize that most courtroom have audio records that could be submitted as evidence of what he said that would confirm any witness statements.

  11. I finally look up Loi Citron Loi Du Citron means Lemon Law in French. Although that variety is lump unlike the common modern variety.

  12. If what was alleged actually happened, based on this story, that judge has a beef with nearly half of the constituency. That is scary.

  13. The fact is Judges "punish" people for campaigning against them far more than you would realize. The difference is most are smart enough to not actually SAY they are doing that.

  14. Judicial races are increasingly partisan. I knew within two minutes of Steve’s description which party supported the judge. Some quick research confirmed I deduced the political party correctly, along with the judge’s 2021 suspension without pay, threatening behavior with a gun and scorn for a 13-year old rape victim. Gee, which major party has a broken moral compass?
I don’t know if every state uses this term, but in California this is called “papering a judge” and is taken VERY seriously.

  15. Just another 'Good 'Ole Boys Club' where misconduct gets swept away with minimal consequences. The American People have surely been left with a law system that is corrupt & broken. We don't rehabilitate and pretend to cure child sex molesters so they have the chance to repeat. On the same note, you can't ever trust a Judge to be cured and be unbiased after getting caught behaving like this.

  16. Dafuq.
We gone and lost all our damn minds.

But if true then I stand by Steve. If wrong, then the frick is up with this country?

Am in Florida but born in Wisconsin, saddened Wisconsin is just becoming a new Florida man but like the bad type of Florida man.

Yknow? No loveable meth head calling cops cuz he thinks the meth was unsanitary, more like the "when am I free to go back to work?" After a double homicide during a DUI

Fun living accidental tweakery versus sociopathic Insanity y'know?
    I dunno
America is chaotically nuts right now
