Guess I don't get it. Of all the things I'd pay more for, speed is truly the least of them.
You raise a really good point and cleared up a misunderstanding. I assumed tuning was only for top end performance but as you said, your turn focused on a smooth mid-range power band since that's were the vast majority of street riders are planted. That makes sense and the only time I would ever need drag racing top end performance is when I meet a Bussa at a stop light. Then its drop the hammer.
My Vulcan S has a horribly snatchy throttle, it's so bad I usually slip the clutch a little while cracking the throttle after rolling all the way off.
