The Tommie’s Motorsports DMV Bulls class pulled into Virginia Motorsports Park at the XDA MTC Engineering Summer Nationals looking less like a race and more like unfinished business. No ETs. No scoreboard glory. Just heavy hitters, locked-in riders, and boosted street energy taking over the lanes.

Round one came out swinging with Gavin McMichael’s “Stock Market” from Denton, Maryland cashing in against Myles Taylor’s “Gas Chamber.” Mike Davis rolled the Ohio-based “Houdini” machine past George Stanley’s “Malicious Bull,” while Maurice Kay and “The Time Machine” escaped a tough matchup against Roddney Rich’s “Tonka Toy.” Brian Childress also survived the opening war aboard “Derek For Real,” knocking out fellow Virginia rider Nick Hamlett and “Misbehavin.”

By round two, the pressure got real. Mike Davis kept the Houdini combo deadly consistent and punched his ticket to the finals over Brian Childress, while Gavin McMichael continued applying pressure with “Stock Market,” taking out Maurice Kay to set up a final-round showdown.

That left two killers standing under the Virginia lights: Houdini vs. Stock Market.

With the crowd packed against the fence and both teams talking with body language instead of words, the final had all the tension grudge racing is built on. When it was over, Mike Davis and the “Houdini” machine stood tall, leaving VMP with the Tommie’s Motorsports DMV Bulls victory and proving once again that in grudge racing, respect hits harder than a time slip ever could.
