In this episode, things get dirty, loud, and a little bit smoky. 🔥
We’re back in the garage working on mounting the Hurricane motor and ZF transmission into our 2005 Dodge Magnum — and let’s just say, this one required serious fabrication. Custom clearances, trans tunnel tweaks, and lots of trial-and-error to get everything sitting just right.
We also started sanding down Hurricane Maggie and laying the groundwork for paint. She’s still rough around the edges, but progress is progress — and we’re making it count with every bolt turned and bracket welded.
🚨 Huge shoutout to our friends at AAD Performance for sending over their full LX/LC Drag Pack! That suspension is gonna keep Maggie planted when it’s time to fly down Woodward Ave at Roadkill Nights. Full Drag Pack Installation Tutorial here 👉🏼
🏁 What is Roadkill Nights?
Roadkill Nights Powered by Dodge is a street-legal drag racing event in Metro Detroit — and in 2025, Dodge selected a handful of drivers to build cars in just 9 weeks using their new twin turbo inline-6 Hurricane engine, a ZF 8-speed transmission, and $20,000 in parts. We were one of them.
On August 9th, we’ll be lining up in the Direct Connection Grudge Match and putting Hurricane Maggie to the test.
