Today on Unity Motorsports Garage we are doing a 4150 Carb Dragstrip throwdown @EdelbrockUSA VRS 4150 vs Holley HP 4150
Micah and I take “Clark” the 1984 Mercury Marquis WAGON with a Carbed / Nitrous 4.6 Ford 2V Mod Motor to Shadyside Dragway to do a back to back test on the same day!

Great comparison between the 2 carbs. Good seeing you guys at the track yesterday!
What are the cam specs. On the engine.
Hey Andy, did I miss where you said what size that VRS carb is?
I'm wondering if the throttle bore and venturi are different vs the 950. It could explain some of the low end torque but no doubt the annualar booster accounts for some of it.
Looks like a great day at Shadyside.

Probably making more average power but not necessarily more peak. Considering it’s a box carb vs one with loads of tinkering it’s impressive to even be close.
I would have to say Elderbrock did thier homework for shure. Back in the day Brasswell fixed alot of the Holley problems and sold alot of them. Later Holley sued him. I heard the facts from one of a retired Holley engineers on DragBoss Garage.
Awesome!
Awesome review, I knew he would like how it felt soon as he touched the throttle. Team VRS for the Win.
One other thing, there is no way a 4.6 2V should be that dang fast. Great job on that Mod Motor.
What ever possessed you to build a 2 valve 4.6 in the first place???
