Irwindale Speedway, the last remaining track in Southern California, is more than just a race track. It is a hub of community, education, and safety. Additionally, it houses LA county’s open burn out box, a unique facility providing a secure setting for burn-out style street takeovers – an invaluable resource in preventing these activities from spilling onto city streets.

The eradication of Irwindale Speedway doesn’t just signify the loss of a track, it marks the disappearance of a safe space for car enthusiasts to test their limits and hone their skills, away from the risks of public roads. If we allow this Speedway to disappear, many street racers won’t have an alternative outlet and would return to public streets, potentially endangering lives and public property.
