7.3L Godzilla Motor in a 1965 Lincoln Continental – Bagged Continental Motor Swap Ep. 1

We’re tearing into a brand new build this week! And before you ask, YES! We are still plugging away at the twin turbo Chevelle. We should have an update on that soon, along with more progress on the supercharged LT4 K10!

But until then, we’re starting on this bagged 1965 Lincoln Continental build! While the Continental have been iconic cars since they’ve rolled off the factory floor, we want to do something to make this classic car something truly wicked! So we’re yanking out that crusty stock block that’s been powering this Lincoln and putting in a 7.3L Ford Godzilla motor! These motors make some good power stock, but of course we’re going to be stuffing some performance parts in it a bit further down the road.

We’re also upgrading the suspension on this Continental with a full RideTech system, to put this frame on some better suspension, and upgrading the air management system with some Airlift Performance parts!

There are some big changes coming for the interior of this big body classic as well! But we’ll get into that more later. For now, we gotta start yanking out all the old moldy parts to start building this beast up!

  1. Great video. Here in Brazil the interior anti rust protection on older cars was that same red we saw in 12:25 … today there are some wash primers in a kind of yellow though. Keep up guys!

  2. cleetus mcfarland recently used one of these engines in a ford mustang turboed it and tried to finish sickweek with it , it ran great untill one of the rods allmost let go , would upgrade the rods at least in the engine if youre going to turbo or put a supervharger on it

  3. I'm already in mid process of a 7.3 Godzilla and transmission into my 66 lincoln continental.
Waiting on custom suspension from TN. Should be fully built by mid this summer

  4. It's really to bad that Lincoln has lost their focus! And have forgotten what Lincoln is all about, which is power , gangsta elegance and beauty ! None of these modern Lincoln's with their Mk this and Mk that and the turbocharged lawnmower engines can hold a candle to this work of art !

  5. Hey, Guys Greetings from Australia, rode my BMW way back in the day from Tallahassee to Key West several times…..just love the builds each and every one….totally awesome..On these long builds that consume a lot of parts and a lot of labor, how do you keep track of it all, especially the man hours? Do you have a system, Thanks Mates….
