BOOM!!! What a day! And a day that I think a lot of us having been waiting for. The 55 did its first in competition six second 200+ MPH pass on Day 1 of Sick Week which really set us up for success for the rest of the week. In typical fashion – it wasn’t easy and it was by the hair of our chin so check out how the day played out. This one gave me goosebumps editing it because reliving that moment was epic!

Was it last year when a connection became loose during transit to a race week? Seems like it was near the steering wheel. This appears to be a common issue. This is the one issue I have with having a computer in a car, too much human error for a fun sport. Computers are the error!

Seeing a ‘55 Chevy do a 6.96 @ 205 is insane!! Imagine the Detroiters that assembled the car seeing it do this performance! Sure there are many a angel gear heads watching over this and smiling. Congrats Alex

What an accomplishment and since the 1st laps of the wheels we could see all the barriers you had to cross to reach this goal announced at the beginning of this project…Quest for the 6"! To announce it is one thing to do it is a completely different story…congratulations!
